Hyundai Kona 2024 review: 3 months living with the base-spec Kia Seltos and Nissan Qashqai rival

Interior is very cheap. Engineering effort is low. Recommending one is bad advice.

Why don't they design the petrol cap to look like an EV plug😅

The Kia/Hyundai 2.0l petrol is notoriously unreliable and has lots of retorts of engine failures. Would avoid this engine like the plague.

Hybrid is sensational. Base model. Quiet. 4.37 fuel in real use. 2 months in with ownership.

Its only negative. 4 star ANCAP. HYUNDAI said this will be upgraded on model update in 2.5 years.

Drive a VW T-Roc CityLife and this base model... The VW destroyed the Kona as a vehicle and in value terms.

Dont know why the fuel consumption is always 12 or 13 for me ?? Does anyone has problem with fuel efficiency??

Good review! I’m deciding between a base Kona, HRV and a Kamiq. The cvt was the biggest let down on the Kona for me otherwise clear winner, the HRV looks the best but the interior feels 2020. The Kamiq 85tsi felt best drivers car and value in runout model. The Dsg gearbox an depreciation being the negatives there .. I looked at a cx30 but rear seat room an boot space was a deal breaker. Being my wife’s car maybe I can live with the Cvt 😆
