I trust Christopher s reviews.
ОтветитьI'd be really interested to see the new Samyang 35mm 1.4 Prima lens reviewed
ОтветитьI hope you also review this lens' direct competitor, the updated TTArtisan 35mm f/1.8 mark II.
I was expecting a little more from this lens, seems adequate for 24MP-26MP.
This lens will kill off the XC 35mm f/2.
ОтветитьThanks for the review. I would like to see a comparison to the Viltrox AF 33mm F1.4
ОтветитьPlease put the PRO quality into small lens. Nowadays Fujifilm is not a budget choice anymore. Many care about quality and aesthetics over rest of the things and we don't mind adding few hundreds more for the aperture ring, metal build and weather sealing.
Please if any company wise enough, stop producing cheap plastic one. And there're some focal length more in need like 18mmf2(for better IQ and AF), 27mmf2.8(for better AF, much prefer to have an F2 if possible), 40or45mm, 56or75mm(would like a f2 or f2.8 quality linear motor pancake lens).
Would have used your link to buy if it were full frame 😢😢😢. Awesome video!
ОтветитьInteresting to see ArthurR channel said this was “significantly sharper” than the Sony 35 oss 1.8. But it seems it’s just averagely sharp in the world of sharpness? Maybe we have come a really long way since 2012.
ОтветитьI’ll keep my Fuji 35 f1.4…..
Ответитьletsgo finally a match for the 56mm f1.7
ОтветитьThis has to be the best bang for buck lens of 2024.
ОтветитьThis one or the ttartisan 35mm mark ii?
ОтветитьThe reason I'm back on the Sony system - is these third-party lenses!
It's time for Sony to update their old CROP lenses or make new ones
Wauw, another great Viltrox lens. They produce some very interesting lenses at crazy prices. Impressed!
ОтветитьFuji does have a very good rival this lens in terms of function and price - the superb XC35mm f/2.
ОтветитьCompared to the meike 33 1.4
ОтветитьPlease do a TTArtisan 35mm f1.8 II review!
Ответить170 pounds, it’s too heavy for me…
ОтветитьAveragely sharp wide open is a pity, was hoping to buy this lens in Janruary but youve made me have second thoughts Chris.
ОтветитьSo it's around 53mm f/2.6 in terms of full frame focal length, depth of field and light gathering, pretty compelling option.
ОтветитьBy the sounds of it, you’ve also got that horrible winter bug that’s going around.
ОтветитьI wish this lens existed for the Canon R mount
ОтветитьDecent option for the Nikon Zfc for which there is no native 35mm option.
ОтветитьFujifilm X has the XC 35 2.0 for about the same price, but for Nikon Z this is a great option.
I was hoping for better sharpness, but like the overall quality and there will probably be discounts (just got the Viltrox 56 1.7 for 135€ and really enjoying it).
I was hoping these 3rd party interesting lenses were with aperture ring ! X mount needs those imperfect small lenses so much !
ОтветитьI'm in the market for a 50mm equivalent apsc lens and there's been so many good options coming out recently. This, the yongnuo 33mm 1,4 and there's a new ttartisan 35mm 1.8 too, though idk how good that one is yet.
ОтветитьWow, to be honest, I think the bokeh is specacular! Definitely a lens with character, even if not clinically perfect.
ОтветитьGood stuff from Viltrox. I think they would also do well with a robust manual focus fast aperture lens. Thanks for the video.
ОтветитьI really wanna see a review of the TTArtisan 500mm f6.3 made by you. Everyone else always seems fishy or doesn‘t do it with the quality you do :/
I hope you‘re gonna make it happen at some point :D
Many thanks for the review. I compared it with your review of the XF/XC 35mm F2 and I have to say that the Viltrox 35mm F1.7 beats the XF/XC35mm F2 in almost every aspect. Very nice.
ОтветитьNow the big question: this vs XC 35mm f2?
ОтветитьWhoa, this one actually have a pop. Surprised to see that in viltrox. Viltrox usually have flat rendering.
I think viltrox 1.4 have too much negative features (LoCA, boring bokeh) that they have to make 1.7 version which is very excellent compared to 1.4
Hi Chris, it would be a good idea to touch how to upgrade firmware of those lenses. You always mention about this spec on your videos but many of us don't know how to do it. Thanks for all those good work 💪🏻👏🏻
ОтветитьI'm looking for a 35mm (50mm full frame eq) FL for my fuji X-T3. I shoot stills only. Planning to use it for couple portraits or family portraits with wide aperture. Image quality / character is the most important. Very much inclined towards the xf 35mm 1.4. But, I feel it's slightly on the costlier side for a hobby.
I have the fuji xf 23mm f2 and xf 56mm 1.2 and love them both.
I don't care about AF. I can manually focus. Should I go for this new Viltrox Air or look at other manual focus lens by other 3rd parties that offers better image quality in this price range??
Torn between this or the meike 33mm f1.4 ? Help please.
ОтветитьI want to see a comparison with the sigma 30mm 1.4
ОтветитьLooks the same as a Samyang to me. Doesn't Christopher get bored doing these?
ОтветитьI'm waiting for the 24mm1.7 lens
ОтветитьFor which mounts is this available?
ОтветитьI was waiting for this lens being released since first rumours- already have 56/1.7 and I was really hoping for same image quality. Bit disappointed here with f1.7 sharpness 🤔 i never questioned your reviews but considering other reviewers reporting no IQ issues at 1.7 is it possible that it was bit weaker copy? I highly doubt Viltrox would send not double tested copy for review but somehow I just can’t accept this mediocre wide open image quality 😀 I wanted this lens because i really hoped for a just wider copy of 56 and it seems like it’s not the case here
ОтветитьI often wonder how a chart test really works ? Depth of field on a flat surface? Any chance you could explain how we can trust such an image , a narrow depth of field could change the image results . In the real world the imagine has depth . My reason for asking is down to depth of field real world. The depth when focused is dealing with variables. I do find this part of the review most interesting. I would find the real world photos along side the charts of a helpful guide. Thank you for reading this request .
ОтветитьThe images from this lenses are popping off of my screen. Beautiful
ОтветитьChris Niccolls whatever, what I want is the 23mm in this series!
ОтветитьJust ordered on for my 6400 😊 great review.. Pete
ОтветитьHope you could compare or review the Ttartisan 35mm f1.8 mark ii
ОтветитьChris, please don't forget the TTArtisans 35mm f1.8 mark 2
ОтветитьI hope Sigma would make a 16-70mm 2.8 or 17-70mm 2.8
Ответить
