Nice room, except the balcony, I found it to be a tiny smaller than others.

Beautiful cabin. Seems bigger than other balcony cabins on other ships.

We were on Discovery in September 2022. My parents enjoyed their mini-suite.

I have not cruised on the Discovery but have cruised Princess several times. Our last cruise was on the Caribbean Princess and we selected a Jr Suite and I was NOT impressed with it at all. The mini-suite was basically about the same size as a regular balcony cabin. Now I used for comparison my favorite cruise line, Royal Caribbean, which gives you a lot more in its jr suites. First of all, Royal's mini-suites are much larger (by about 4 or 5 feet wider) than regular balcony cabins. So there is a LOT more room. Mini-suites on Royal (and I have had them on several of Royal classes of ships) have the bath tub like Princess but also they all have a large walk-in closet, with lots of room for clothes and luggage. The mini-suite also comes with bathrobes, a coffee pot and a hot pot so you can make your own coffee and tea in your cabin, and the balconies for Royal's mini-suites are also much larger, big enough to have a couple loungers as well as regular chairs, and a table. They have the sofa like Princess but also have a lounge chair inside the cabin. I am glad that you posted this so now I know to pass on mini-suites on Princess, regardless of the ship.

I haven’t cruised Princess since 2001. The Grand Princess. So wanted to try them again. The cabins are the same as I remembered back in 2001. I had a mini suite. TVs are on the walls now. They were on the shelves on GP. Brand new ship with no outlets by the beds??? You mentioned outlets. Their are none. I don’t consider a USB an outlet. Bathrooms are the same size and shower curtains disgust me. We had a longer balcony on the Grand however. This balcony is pathetic compared to other cruise lines. Don’t think I’ll be looking into Princess again after all. Shame.

Did you have to request to have the robes in the room or do they automatically put them there? Also, there will be 3 of us in the mini suite. I wonder if you have a choice to do the sofa bed or the pull down. Our teenager will be with us.

Great review, did not care much for the cabin and he balcony looks small and a bit too shaded for my liking.
