Roots lie in the oldest one the Vedic culture where yog and gurukul teachings, and spiritual growth was the center of society. Indra, Mitra varuna, brahma, Shiva, Vishnu....are in wall relief. Hindu sanatan people started Building temples in competition when buddist atheism is on rise converting every place full with budda statues. This culture surviving since the time of Ramayana, temple was perhaps built much later but after Buddha

Perhaps Hindu temples were existed way much before the Jayvarman, they later just bring some little transformations in existing structure. Jayvarman was a deviant of hindu culture, increasing military and econmic power, perhaps causing clashes with neighbouring countries finally the end this buddist ruler.

Solid video, but routinely calling it a "rural metroplis" is questionable. By definition, it's one or the other, and in its day this was one of the most metropolitan areas on the planet. It is rural now only because the major capitol city is long abandoned.

Still most of Angor Wat is not excavated. It is proven by many LIDAR scans from above. The city must be older than 900 years. It would take a very long time to build it. Historians from Universities can not talk the truth. Nobody trusts them in these times. The books have to be corrected. You actually have to go there and look at the stones. It is impossible to carve them so precise and so quickly. Western Universities teach a wrong history.

Absolutely! Angkor Wat is a masterpiece of architecture, history, and spirituality. The level of detail, precision, and symbolism in its design is breathtaking. It’s not just a monument but a living testament to the ingenuity and devotion of the Khmer civilization. Studying its intricate carvings, layout, and astronomical alignments could take a lifetime, let alone a decade! Truly one of the world’s greatest wonders.

This video, titled "City of the God-Kings," provides a detailed exploration of Angkor Wat in Cambodia. Here's a summary:

-In 1860, French naturalist Henri Mouhot, while trekking through the Cambodian jungle in search of exotic insects, discovered a massive complex of stone temples.
-Angkor Wat is one of the world's most astonishing and enduring architectural feats.
-The origin and purpose of this vast construction is shrouded in mystery.
-A 13th-century Chinese eyewitness account suggests Angkor was a populated city.
-Archaeologists are using radar images from space to find evidence.
-Radar reveals what Mouhot found was just a small part of a larger metropolis, once the biggest city in the world.
-But how could such a large city exist in such a challenging environment?
-The Cambodian kings made sophisticated use of the surrounding rivers and lakes, creating a water management and storage system to create a rich year-round food supply.
-The climate perhaps contributed to its decline as the complex water system eventually silted up.
-In the 15th century, as the Kingdom of Siam rose and invaded Angkor, the population of Angkor migrated east to the Mekong River, leaving the city to the burgeoning jungle.
-Today, the use of new technology is still exploring the successes and failures of the great Khmer civilization that built the city of the god-kings.
