This thing is way to far from a 6gen... thia is just a delta plane with stealt carateriatics. US nor Russian know what capabilities should a 6gen would have. Their just one a concept a though. We are at leats 10 to 15 years to se just a ground prototype off something like that.
For the only caracterristuc we have for a 6gen figther is a 3 stage torbo engine motor🤔

i think india should also join tempest program although we are already working on our own 5th generation fighter jet program called ACMA ,but this project also seems interesting and India has very good relation with UK, JAPAN, AND ITALY as well

The prototype looks good. Will be interesting whether the mass production stays within budget. Makes sense to skip the 5th gen and utilise modernised 6th gen technological that is currently available. Hope it succeeds. 6th gen means to completely domanite the skies and surpass the f35/22 su57/j30 in terms of performance.

The Brits should just stick with the Euro Fighter Typhoon and upgrade it. Look what happened when they stupidly retired the Warrior IFV instead of just upgrading it.

I love the Tempest fighter jet design and admire the innovation and engineering behind it but, I also recognize that parts of the UK are facing crushing poverty, with communities struggling with economic hardship under a government that will make things much worse soon enough. It's a reflection of how crazy the world is, where mistrust, hate and corruption fuels massive spending on tools of destruction instead of addressing the needs of those who are suffering.

If this produces lots of electricity why not use a rail gun because the ammunition for those ie trememly light weight you'll be to to take lots more😊

This aircraft has to be built at all costs.

Does anyone know what it's top speed will be? One report says it'll be super sonic which seems realistic, another says about 450mp at 20,000ft which is ridiculously laughable!! A 6th gen jet should have a comfortable ceiling of 65,000ft. Our Vulcan did 60,000ft no problem and was built in the early 50's.
My guess, it would/should exceed Mach 3.

Their "6th gen" looks like America's 5th gen. These guys are really lagging behind.

That airframe looks more 5th gen than 6th gen to me and ugly at that and those intakes look tiny to feed hugely powerful engines.

How can a broke county like the UK afford to pursue projects like this. What exactly are we going to do with a sixth generation fighter when our army is so small its barely fit for purpose.

Our military needs a sixth generation fighter jet that can reach Mach 3. I mean in the 60’s speed was the name of the game. We developed Mach 3 capable jets and experimental Mach 3 bombers but don’t have a Mach 3 capable fighter jet.

This aircraft design has been in development since the late 80s ,the us produced it as the yf 23 but it got beaten by the f22 design which eventually won
