I don't understand why all the adults in Chandler's life, infantilized him. Even Chandler made references to this such as ..'they fed me'. 'they put me to bed'..etc. and he told Cat he 'was grounded' at one point. What 23 year old is grounded?? The more I hear about this case, the more I see that the women in his life pandered to him like a child. His young female cousins, even went over to his house, 'to cook for him'..Cat's mother was always making dinner for him, and Cat herself talked about making dinner for them both, a number of times. It seems that nobody had confidence in Chandler being able to do anything for himself. It's apparent that after his 'concussion', they all rallied around him - his mother left notes saying ask the neighbour if you need help with anything, (while she was at work). Chandler had everything in the way of support from his family I wonder if he had not lived at home, the outcome may have been different.

A man has to know his limitations. Although he didn't actually believe his particular lies, he believed that he was talented enough to achieve the sort of things that he lied about. Hence, he believed that he could literally get away with murder. Chandler is a howling simpleton.

It's my opinion by looking closely at this case. Chandler was under the influence of amphetamines. Notice his physical appearance from his interigation to his trial I believe he opted for a speedy trial that came 9 months later

He could have used his abilities to strategize such an elaborate lie and keep it going for so long to do something worthwhile and beneficial to society. The fact Chandler, or let alone any young adult, would somehow think that murdering their parents as opposed to being caught in a lie was a "solution" to his problem is totally mind boggling. I can't even wrap my head around it.
The worst part is he clearly had very devoted and loving parents and he savagely murdered and dismembered them for a totally nonsensical reason.
Chandler Halderson, Grant Amato and there's a few more including a couple more guys and a couple girls all took out their parents and sometimes even siblings as well for the most ridiculous of reasons.
I just don't get it. All of them need to spend every last minute of their lives in prison. At the very least they still have their lives, which is unfair in itself.

Hes struggling to fill the hours in that he was actually dismembering his parents and using the fireplace and disposing of bodies.

Had Chandler simply copped to all the lies, apologized to his parents, brother, girlfriend and friends, they all are of the type to accept his apology and help him make amends. And then they would be the only ones who knew about all his lies. And he likely would have been a better man for it.

Now, the entire world knows about his lies. And they know so much more............
