POET WILL MAKE CLARA SO GOOD

As someone whos trying to get a proper counter team with Clara and Yunli, the Poet set has me pretty excited. The game as it is now is very much centered of stacking speed as much as possible, but a new speed reduction set implies new content that would encourage moving slower, which would give already slower characters a place they can excel.

Oh yeah, does the Lightning Lord and Lingsha's smoke bunny count as memosprites or just summons?

It's funny that HSR has released a set that is a boon for slow characters because other than Harmony characters and sometimes healers, I have largely ignored speedtuning. Most of them have 100-120 spd. My characters act when they act; I dont care. As long as the fight finishes XD So seeing this new relic, I'm like, yoooo HSR devs catering to me specifically

Will be living in this cavern for the Hero set, initially just for RMC, and saving the Poet set for future Quantum units. It's got Tribbie's aesthetic and could be hers... if so she might be a very interesting "Harmony"

the thing is, speed reduction doesnt matter if "other" self of that character still active on field, like "follow attack" or later mechanism that introduced in 3.0.
Example like my Bro Aventurine, if the enemy love to do Aoe attack, he will always do follow attack and take care my party defense and because the Ultimate Attack is different from "turn", dont really matter if Aventurine turn never come.
So its reallyy depend on character quirk.

With the Poet set I'm really wondering whether they're going to give us a way to disable traces at some point. Being locked out of a unit's potential BiS as soon as you activate a speed trace feels bad, and it also means you can't experiment around with units on the border (if there's a future unit that loses the 2nd threshold with speed traces you can't test out whether it feels better with Poet or some speed-based set and then go back to Poet).

It's an extreme edgecase, but it's clunky and could potentially feel really bad in the future.

I'm one copy away from e6 Clara. I Am grabbing it next time we get a pick a char ticket. Or if I lose a 50/50 I'll gladly take it. Also that slow sets gonna be amazing on Clara. Build all crit dmga try for just a measly 20ish. Then add a few harmony and a sub DPS. Ohhhhhh I'm excited.
Also curious if this sets for the dragon chick I'm excited for.

Let's be honest, the new quantum set it's only for Castorice, it's too much a hastle to try to use it on other units only for a 10% dmg increase

This is huge for qq enjoyers, can slot this in on qq and still run a super fast Sunday + Sparkle + Gallagher and just go to town with all the SP generated by Gallagher/Sparkle Ult. Easily could hit 100% CR with 200%+ CD, should be tons of fun

i feel like an insane thing hsr could do to help with the poet set is making traces able to be turned off or on idk it would be rlly useful for ppl who already maxed out the traces of characters or smth…

E2 Lunae with Tingyun, Sunday and Huohuo should be able to run completely without speed subs on Lunae, since most of the time the damage is going to be based off Sunday's AA into 3 sp basic, and his own ult being funneled HARD

The first set is actually for Castorice. It’s been confirmed that Castorice is Quantum Remembrance, utilizing her Dragon’s dmg and everybody’s total HP.

Particular call out for Clara: If you have Robin, Longevious winds up being ahead of Boxer due to Robin's Atk saturation, meaning that the new set is just good. Robin also makes the Speed issue of the new set moot most of the time - so long as Clara's turn happening slightly later doesn't impact the timing of Robin's Ult, Robin will just eat the difference in AV with said Ult.

the new quantum set is very weird, the crit rate also applies to memosprites but I assume most memosprite units would prefer -1 speed sunday for max damage. Only character this seems good on for me is qingque since I use her at base speed with a hyperspeed sparkle but grinding for both quantum sets separately is gonna be painful (old one for dps sw and new one for qingque) but knowing hoyo they'll probably release a character perfect for this set soon.

Doesnt DU actually activates all traces? So the speed requirement for that first set will be challenging in DU

well, I've always had rotten luck when it came to getting Spd and Crit DMG substats; most of my relics have absolute dogpoop speed. Surely that wouldn't change now that a low-speed relic buff is here...right...?

This is really emphasising thr need to have a way to turn off traits/eidolons. There is no reason that investing resources ir getting extra copies of a character should make them actively worse

Remember as always farming a brand new set with amazing substats takes ages, and you can keep using your older pieces, especially for these smaller % increases that some units are getting like Acheron.
NOTES: - I've opted to just yoink out the QQ calc and put them here as it had a mistake. 4 Poet QQ ATK% boots is 9-10% better than 4 Quantum if there is no -DEF from allies and you have an Advance unit like Sunday/Sparkle which you probably should :)
