Doma was about 133 years old by the time of the Main events, so in theory, it wouldn't matter if he was a Hashira or not. Not in the Main Timeline.

okay I don't wanna be that person but...in the mugen train arc, tanjiro though he was asleep and under Enmu's spell so he went to kill himself to "escape" but inosuke stopped him. so if inosuke wasn't there, tanjiro would be dead. correct me if im wrong please!

If entertainment district was never a arc then tanjiro would have not got the mark which would have ment tanjiro,nezuko,genya,muchiro and mitsuri wouldve died without achieving the mark. So as giyu,douma,senemi,gyomei,shinobou,kanao, zenitsu, tegen, obanai and tamayo. Because without the mark ones the others without marks will die. So every demon slayer would have died.

So no Douma = Inosuke wouldn’t be a demon slayer.
Which means Tanjiro dies at the mugen train.
