The issue about high performance cars is that you need to be skilled to use it and you need to understand recklessness because driving is NOT racing. If you’re a kid from 15-18 you need at least 1 to 3 years of experience before even getting into something high end for racing. If you wanna go fast, do karting, so you can even fathom the idea of “limits” so then you don’t act brashly. I am relatively young and I’ve driven race cars before pretty damn well. Mind you though, I grew up with sim racing, so I understood the fundamentals of a car and its limits, and being a reckless driver out on the road. Driving high end cars and racing them are different. Driving is NOT racing. If you got yourself on a track, you’d know. If you don’t understand the difference without that fundamental experience, and nobody tells you, then decides to give you a high end car, then they should be liable for your faults.

Teenagers should be given underpowered rides, not something that can go from 0-60 in under 6 seconds or top out at 150. But that mother should've taken away the keys a very long time ago and made him either walk or ride a bike.

Here’s the thing: people who know anything about driving know that driving 140 in a straight line, is not dangerous. The problem is when people who don’t have the experience to know how a car works think they can do this wherever they want, and stuff like this happens. They don’t know the difference between doing it safely and doing it wrong

Theres a difference between a kid being given a performance car and a kid buying a performance car from his hard earned money, i bought my 335 when i was 19 im 27 now and ive gone really fast but i always make sure i am not putting others in danger when doing so such as empty highways etc i know its still wrong but theres always a time and place and that place was definitely not in a 25 mph zone

If this had happened in Europe, the "murderer" would get life in prison, no parole, no cushy prison cell. They know how to punish criminals. His parents need to be punished as well. Sue those indifferent parents for everything they have and then some. My brother was murdered in 1995 & the person responsible got off scott free.

This is the world we live in, kids are NOT being taught accountability, just blame everyone else! This is gross negligence! Again, we don’t know ALL the facts, but it sounds like she had full knowledge and didn’t do much to prevent his bad decisions and behavior. Purchasing him a faster car ……… for WHAT?? Privilege and people need to stop stifling the police, let them do their jobs!!! But that’s another story for another day.

I don’t care how much money you have you should NOT buy a kid any kind of sports car as their first car buy them a beat up Honda civic because parts are cheap they’re easy to work on and it teaches your kid not to always think the worst on a situation where your car breaks down

What was the point of recording his driving if you still weren’t going to take any action to provide consequences? Well it will help put them both in prison. Also, why is everyone pretending like they weren’t aware of this kids driving? They crashed a few minutes from Flynn’s house. Flynn’s parents and the whole community are responsible too because everyone knew this kid was reckless and probably thought it was great to gossip about 🙄
