A Drone Sub has one great advantage, it does NOT need to provide an oxygen rich environment for humans. The greatest challenge is how to operate it remotely.

This is not the only drone sub that the United States has contracts for, It's just one highlighted type of underwater drone.

I can't say how as it's "classified" but I promise that the US Navy knows when any Russian, Chinese or North Korean submarine leaves port and it can be tracked over the entire globe !!!

The biggest drone manufacturer in the world is DJI, a Chinese company. If their civilian drones are a threat to USA as their sanctions show you can imagine how advanced their military drones, which are classified, are. If their surface navy is bigger you can also imagine how big their classified drone fleet is. So stop bragging to encourage war.

South Korea can build ships more efficiently than then the U.S. because of our shipyards greedy practices. I would suggest a partnership. They supply the vessel and we supply the American technology. Win,win

These seem to be made to throw away. Could work to float into a region at 3-8 knots and sit until weapons deployment. I'm sure it has enough power for several days.

Now, if this was WWII we would be able to knock out at least 5 of these a day (1 B-24 liberator was produced every 59 minutes; in a 24 hour production schedule). Liberty ships were being built so fast that it took less than a month to produce any single ship by the time they hit their stride. It would be nice to knock out 6-10 a month. Probably more like 1-2 month. America has lost the ability to produce anything enmasse.
Now we need to design an Orca tender, that can carry them in large numbers and launch them fast. Still think the use of armory ships is a brilliant idea. But like the Ari Force, it is not cool and they rather have big, expensive, and cool looking vessels.
If the Ukraine has proven anything...Ammunition (shells, bullets, rocket, missiles) needs to be put into mass production now so that there will be some available when it is needed. This goes for mines as well large production runs of mines would be needed to make the threat of them worth while. Usage of mines (8? per Orca(?)) would also need the use of large dedicated support ships to constantly rearm them with new mines.
In 2024 America built 7 brand new (read: expensive) ships and scrapped 13 older ones (including 6 of the old Ticonderoga class CGs).
America's submarines are the best in the world, but loss much of their advantages in the shallow, cramped, and dangerous waters of the east and southern china seas.
We need 100-200 of these, 5(?) at 55 million each, sounds like a poor plan for what is an expendable unit.

First off Taiwan building a lot of factories here in the United States Arizona to be exact. I don’t know when this program was perch released, but they have a couple buildings going already in the United States so as for losing all that from Taiwan, that’s not gonna happen. Furthermore if I know anything, I know Taiwan, who would all their stuff out of Taiwan to the United States
