1. Bunker Buster Bombs: If i were the enemy, I would build fake hardened facilities that have the appearance of strategic military importance. That would deceive the US and draw its forces upon those facilities, while hiding the real military assets in locations that were completely unknown and unexpected. Can you always depend upon and trust intelligence to know where these locations are?

2. Surface subs in the middle of the Chinese Fleet: Bad idea. When China did this it motivated the US to up its game. The Chinese would do the same thing. It would highlight their vulnerability enabling them to develop a better system of defense against US submarines capabilities. It’s kinda like showing your hand in a poker game. Don’t reveal your stealth capabilities. Keep them guessing….

The US would never surface a submarine in the middle of Chinese ships showing China they need better sensors to detect them, they want China to stay ignorant of their own weaknesses, showing China they're vulnerable doesn't do the US any favors.
