Perfect Strangers was just a retread centered around an imitation of the Latka Gravas character (played by the amazing Andy Kaufmann) from the series Taxi. The one show from the 1980's that you absolutely failed to recognize was Bosom Buddies, which introduced Tom Hanks and Peter Scolari to a larger national audience.

On the subject of Crime Story. How could so much dedication put the network off to the point of canceling it? If it’s great, let it run.

No St. Elsewhere?? That show launched the careers of Howie Mandel and Denzel Washington. In addition, it was the first medical show to have AIDS storylines.

Not that this dude should lose his job, or anything, but man oh man, I had to mute this video to watch it. Sorry, dude.

Mine is Head Of The Class; it's one of my favorites. The second is Square Pegs, an '80s cult classic. An honorable mention goes to Perfect Strangers.

I can't believe they left out Jim Henson's The Storyteller.

You missed the main plot behind V, it was an allegory about how there could be a Nazi takeover of a country

I watched all of these but Remington Steele and Hill Street Blues ... Crime Story, Yes Minister, V, and several others not mentioned here were all in my regular viewing like Miami Vice, A-Team, Knight Rider, Street Hawk, Airwolf, and even Dynasty

Night Court had some of the best speeches.

Unfortunately, Remington Steele's original premise of a single woman being the star changed after Brosnan's star began to shine. Slowly they became more of a team and Steele becoming less of a buffoon and more an internationally accomplished confidence man. I think this is what caused the tension often commented on about the lead actors. To this day both have made lavish comments about each other's talents and would work with each other again. Which lead many to believe it was the network's meddling with the scripts which caused a rift.

Night Court has one of the most original origin stories of any sitcom. - The mayor was angry he didn't get reelected so he started filling positions before he was replaced. In trying to fill a judge's position, calls were made to everyone on a list. Harry was at the bottom of it and was the only one who answered the phone. Why? Because instead of going out on Saturday night he stayed home to watch a Three Stooges marathon.

Remington Steele and Perfect Strangers were the best shows cited on this list. The former had a far better premise over Moonlighting. It also helps that Laura Holt was way easier on the eyes than Maddie Hayes, and Mr. Steele knows his classic films.

Perfect Strangers was a fun sitcom. Larry and Balkie doing the Myposian 'Dance of Joy' was always fun to see.

V worked best as a miniseries. Series creator Kenneth Johnson opposed a TV series, but know it all exec Brandon Tartikoff wouldn't listen.

Wiseguy was one the 1980s crime shows.Newhart was one the underrated USA sitcom a, the new statemen was the underrated UK sitcom. The mini series Fresno was one the best mini series who parody soap operas.

Magnum is part of 80s culture Tom Selleck is the 80s heart-rob and his TV series was more awesome than Miami Vice,Knightrider,Dallas,Dynasty and The A-Team.

I loved them all, except for Hill Street Blues & Miami Vice - those were forbidden by my parents 😂

80's TV? Much, much better than 80's music.

As sad as it was to lose Selma Diamond and Florence Halop, I found Marsha Warfield gave Night Court its real stride with her no-nonsense humour and delivery.
