No Hyperdimension Neptunia reference???

Society would be different if these consoles actually materialized. Like imagine owning a slimmer Sega Saturn.

My dad told me when he was a kid he thought the nect sega console was gonna be called the Sega Exodus.

There is something pretty magical how the Neptune actually managed to eventually see release through the help of Genesis hardware emulation. And appearently there are a few people interessted in actually making new games for the thing. Really makes one wonder what else can happen with outdated systems.(I hope the answer is that people revive the WiiU in 15 years because there is just too much potential still in that thing)

I wish there was a third console to compete with Sony, Nintendo, and Microsoft. I guess the Steam Deck is technically that.

Love the jab at the disc less PS5. Because I have a PS5 with a disc drive as well as a PS4 Slim, I can play games, stream movies, videos, music, and shows, and play DVD and Blu-ray movies. So, no need for cable, Internet service package (other than the Internet access), or DVD/Blu-Ray players. Plus, you can buy PS remotes that are more akin to TV remotes for more intuitive control when not playing games.

Was lucky enough to hold (and later play) the Sega Pluto. I got chatting to Adam Koralik at a convention in the U.K. (To those who dont know, he is essentially borrowing one of the 2 known Pluto consoles and goes all over the world with it). It was such a cool experience!

Sega had the right idea for revisions i guess you can say but more like if Sega was working for Apple IPhone📱📲 then it would of make more sense in that it’ll be cool but be pointless, because in the long run of course you’ll be making more money to grow as a company, but your ideas went more into consoles revisions for the future except maybe focus more on uniting and supporting each other when it comes to the next successful console instead of trying to make more money that you don’t have because it’s competition greed to rival in the console wars across Nintendo & Sony PlayStation PC Mac And then eventually Microsoft Xbox! And they’re weren’t really pleasing gaming developers which is something that Xbox Series X is falling into right now with not one Xbox Series X Exclusive game. Geezus that’s a recipe for disaster and they don’t even realize it still yet as we speak. Yo not even one single exclusive game which they still don’t understand which is probably what destroyed Sega Next console after Dreamcast which the people at Sega were thinking to far ahead of the future except what was right in front of them is to pleased everyone back during that time instead of trying to do it now which is failing a lot of their own Sonic games for Sega of course in what we mean is kinda what Microsoft Xbox is failing to see and realize in this current present day and time!

Geez, if Sega would’ve slowed down and released less consoles, they would probably still be in the console market today. To think it’s difficult enough to have the Sega Saturn competing against the Nintendo 64 and the PlayStation 1, but to also have the Saturn compete against another Sega console, the 32X? The fact that they considered making EVEN MORE consoles to further split their own market just makes me facepalm! It’s so sad, Sega truly did destroy THEMSELVES as a console manufacturer. /:

Sega sort of got somewhere with a cartridge based Saturn, The Sega ST-V, basically their Neo Geo.

Can’t believe that the scrapped Sega Neptune inspired an entire JRPG series 15 years later developed by a company that’s essentially a successor of the same company that developed the Puyo Puyo games.

having namely Dragonforce (best game of that entire generation regardless of pc or console) Shining Force III Panzer Dragoon trilogy Guardian Heroes Burning Rangers plus many others going for sooo much now
Emulation still isnt complete on Sega Saturn though theres been massive strides over the years.. did I mention I also stupidly sold my Sega CDX for $80??
If only Saturn cart slot could play Genesis&32X games.. along with Sega Cd games being compatible… im sure kind of complex to have done, but would have loved to see how the system would have been styled

The Saturn (especially from Japan) and Dreamcast had some amazing games. So did the Genesis. At the end of the day, it’s all about the game library and not about the commercial performance or hardware-related stuff. Glad to own a Saturn and Dreamcast myself. I technically own a Genesis but it’s a Mega SG actually. I remember my dad’s sister in law had a Genesis and I certainly remember playing it but we no longer have it. It had voltage issues.
