entertaining? more like very helpful and informative :P. JK you were entertaining
Ответитьthx for vid !
ОтветитьJesus died and rose for us . He loves u !! We should live and obey Him !! (your choice) .
ОтветитьNot nitpicking however the statement about D1.1 "Requiring" Mill scale to be removed is incorrect. "Loose scale, thick scale, and rust...." are addressed. Still, another incredible video!!!
ОтветитьI’ve been practicing on 3/8 plate with 1/8 rod, 1/4 gap and 22.5 bevel and after my second weave pass I’m already almost flush and do 2 more passes to cap. Is that ok or am I missing something? Not sure how you made 7 passes on that and still finished less than 1/8 above the base metal
ОтветитьI love this man!! I’m going to my first welding competition this weekend, I’ve only been welding for a couple months so I’m taking all the tips I can. This was a huge help, showed me what I can improve on. Cheers!
ОтветитьWhat size rod?
Ответитьwhere can i find a hood like that
ОтветитьWhat size rods are you using?
ОтветитьWeld cert in the morning. I know I can do it, just helps to watch the vids. Thanks for the commentary. Helps a lot
ОтветитьI do a weave for this plate and my starting tab always gobs up and leave a low spot at the very start of the joint. How do I build it up better and not have it flow down?
ОтветитьVery helpful. Taking this test tonight. Big help
ОтветитьHi just a quick question. I am welding my cwb vertical 3g and our plates are 90 degrees and 30 degrees. I was told to do a root stringer on both sides with stops and starts. Then all the following passes are in a weave. Is this up to the discretion of the inspector or would stringers be more widely accepted?
ОтветитьGood job.
ОтветитьDid you stay at 110 Amps the whole time?
ОтветитьI was always told weld away from ground no matter the size rod
ОтветитьAny tips for getting the root pass to lay flatter while tying into both bevels and backing strip ? I'm struggling with that aspect of this test .
ОтветитьHey brother how you doing today I'd like to know where I can get one of those pencils
ОтветитьGood
ОтветитьDid you use 3/32 all the way?
ОтветитьWoohoooo
ОтветитьDecent prints tbh
ОтветитьMakes me look like a horrible welder. I’ve tried 30 of these plates so far. Only way for my weld to look like his is 117 Amps and 3 rods. Idk how you do it
ОтветитьThank you very much
ОтветитьAmazing video! Thank you
ОтветитьGreat video. Good welding and good teaching. You didn’t mention a travel angle and on your cover layer you mentioned a right to left electrode orientation change, but I couldn’t understand whether you meant a work angle change or something thing else.
ОтветитьSo if I’m testing NR232 on 1/2” material I need what root opening and bevel degree ?
ОтветитьI would like to have that book you are working out of if i missed name i apologize but i would like to buy me a copy
ОтветитьI wish you guys would have bent it
ОтветитьI've been doing my root pass at the same amperage. Today we bent my coupons and it still broke on the root pass. Should I go at a higher amperage. I dont know why the root pass is so tough for me.
ОтветитьBout to take my cert test today!!! I’m going to give it my all wish me luck yall 💚🙏🏼
ОтветитьExcellent video thank you
ОтветитьHey today i did my pipe and for some odd reason, i clean the slag out of the area, and there still some in the pipe, but i have pass twice with that, i want to stop that from happening for now.
ОтветитьThank you so much for instructional videos. I thoroughly enjoy them and learn a lot through them. I am a newer welder that is working on collecting my certifications. I have my D1.1 in AWS and LA city. However, I have a job coming up that is a tubular structure . Clause 9. could you do a video on the test for tubular structures? D 1.1
ОтветитьWith the D1.1 test, what are the measurements for cutting the test plates for the bend test?
ОтветитьExcellent video! How much time does it usually take for you to complete this test from start to finish? How long do you take in between passes to let the metal cool and does it vary as you progress? You guys are the best welding channel out there.
ОтветитьPlease give weld camera info...
ОтветитьCan't really see the weld puddle clearly
ОтветитьThank you sooooo much
ОтветитьGreat video! Thank you
ОтветитьI t MyHabionrapss💰
ОтветитьYou mentioned to get a pick to dig out any slag trapped anywhere in the weld, is there a time when one can use a heavy duty wire brush or either a cutting wheel or a grinder..... lol, just saw your comment at the end of the video....
Not a grinding test , but know how to use all the basic welding tools and equipment.
Today I take my first test it’s always been my dream to become a welder like my father I nervous as hell I watch this video every day to help me prepare my self thank you
ОтветитьHow long has backing plate been used for a authorised insurance qualified 3G vertical plate test, When I passed mine it wasn’t aloud, Root fill and cap, Also did 5G & 6G pipe test, All material were 13 mm thick, Pipe was 150mm diameter and plates were 300mm long.🇬🇧🇮🇪.
ОтветитьGood video very well explained
Ответитьdid the root have porosity?
ОтветитьLord, I got AWS Certs tomorrow at 1 in class 3G and 4G in 4 hours I'm nervous, anxious, thanks for the extra boost wish me luck!
ОтветитьHow do you remove the run off plate?
ОтветитьThank you for the skills,it has helped me pass my 3G Bend test
ОтветитьI've seen you use a high temp pen in the video for 1 inch 3g cert. Where to you get one of those? And what temp do you recommend for 3/8 plate? Thank you
