Gaming has been stagnant since 2016 because of ubisoft and live service games the only thing that's evolving is microstransactions and greedy cheap tactics and us receiving less

if buying is not owning then pirating is not stealing!!!

but Ubisoft does not deliver... The Settlers was not made as promised and the official team was kicked out, they build the settlers how they and the community wanted (Pioneers of Pagonia) thats the game.
with Avatar its just dead content after a while...
Beyond good and evil... never released years later.

you see where this is going? people don't trust Ubisoft anymore
if i see Ubisoft, Bethesda, EA, 2K, Blizzard. then i don't want the game or take part of it for very good reasons... Trust

So many things you just mentioned they can easily get away with if they can make games fans want.
So many other companies are getting away with most of these things .... if their games are good & woke agendas are not pushed.
Political agendas are what causing gamers to turn away harder than any other practices.

The biggest reason for these companies & their games failing is woke agenda they push.
And the political correctness they are pushing over what actually works & most gamers want.

not only that mate, forcing indoctrination into our games such as political agendas such as DEI..."modern audiences" and "the message" IF companies such as Ubisoft, EA etc allow their games run directly from where we purchase our license from.

I don't believe ubisoft is ever gonna... oh.. this is 12 days old, yeah.. it always just gets worse and worse when you didn't think it could get any worse with these people. So basically, as long as you're affiliated with SBI, you basically got not only a parasite, but cancer, it's gonna take a removal of the parasite (That dyke company) AND chemo therapy (very painful toxins removal within a long span of recovery) to put these idiot suits back in business.. and yeah, you don't want parasites and cancer? quit the DIE shit, I mean DEI***, unless I mean, we prefer having less games.

Sorry dude, but no. Your downplaying the rhetoric corpos like Ubisoft/Bethesda/Microsoft/etc are trying to promote from within to we the customers. Sure companies chase the money, but frankly they seem to be happy taking a few L's and biting the customers that don't like what they're shoving in our faces.

And this is not them being lazy or unmotivated to create good products. They FEEL that they ARE making good products, because the people they've bloated and promoted into their structure ARE inept. They've stopped hiring based on merit, they've been hiring based on quotas and nepotism. They base their products on a sugar lattice philosophy with little thought to storytelling or mechanical soundness, except to push their canned messages.

The BRIDGE/DEI rhetoric runs these companies, it happened in comics, it happened in movies and it's happening in games. You see it, we see it, only the truly blind will say they don't.

Deathmatch and battle Royale: annoyingly unbeatable and full of spawn campers

COOP mode and single player: boring and repetitive

How can one have FOMO if no one else cares whether they play the games or not?

My only curiosity left is why I am suddenly disinterested in playing any game. What the hell happened to me ? Did I get too old and chronically ill? Did my early retirement mean no more depression and anxiety was fueling my gaming addiction? What's really going on? Why don't I care anymore?

Ubisoft is subsidized to hell by the Quebec government and this the only reason they've stayed afloat so long. I wouldn't be surprised to see them receive a helping hand from the Canadian government to bail them out. The generated 600 million in profits for 5 years while simultaneously getting 600 million in subsidies. Ubisoft wouldn't be profitable without the handouts from the Quebec government. Canada provides cushy socialism for giant corporations and a hardcore ruthless sort of capitalism for it's citizens.

The people responsible for this mess don't actually own Ubisoft, it's publicly traded. The people responsible for this will float away on golden parachutes worth tens of millions if not hundreds of millions of dollars.

They will land at the next game dev studio that has promising intellectual property and talented developers. They will buy it out and set up camp starting the process of milking it dry anew. Until it too collapses, and they float away again with millions in gains.

That is why nothing is learned and this keeps happening over and over again, not just with the gaming industry. This is the state of late stage capitalism at large. This is why our world is the way it is. It is profitable to destroy companies this way, at least for those at the very top.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, but all of this is just sucking blood dry out of customers, until they start to stand up, than they pretend remorse and changing of approach, so they after short while can start all over again. Either you leave such companies behind, like forever, and add your domino piece to build path to their starvation, or you're just a cow. Customer, worker. Cows are cows. Why I should be nice? Cows are cows. There are tons of older, cheaper games, which are awesome. Not so long ago I've spent sum which would not even allow me to buy whole new title, almost, but not yet, and got three titles with all the dlcs for them. One of those games turned out to be real gem for me, I love it. So why should I bother to support stinking, rotting companies? And that Assassin's Creed? It was evident that this game hit the floor at the end of Ezio saga. I've lost all the interest back then. Why people to this day want to replaying the same game over and over again, each time in another stage of regress, is a mystery to me...

DLC Cutters is one of the disgusting practice in the gaming industry. It's their job to see what they can take out of the game and sell it to you later.
Of course, that mean that It won't be finished at launch because they have been told not to finish it and focus on other stuff, So it can be sold to the players later as DLC.

And that is one thing, just one thing in the gaming industry out of so many disgusting practices.

Have you ever seen someone in an abusive relationship? The victim has a moment of clarity and decides to make a change, then the abuser panics and says some BS like "I don't know why I'm like this! I'll change! I'll go to therapy! I swear I love you!" and the victim says "Okay, one more chance" because they're so hurt and broken down by the abuser? But it's always temporary and nothing ever really changes?
That's where the relationship between gamers and Ubisoft is right now. All of these "shows of goodwill" are Ubisoft saying "I don't know why I'm like this! I'm so sorry! I'll change, I promise!" Do not run back. And while we're at it, don't think Tencent will do ANY better if they buy Ubisoft. Tencent is why Dying Light 2 has gone to shit over the past couple years. Tencent has a LONG history of buying and wrecking previously fantastic games, franchises, and studios, and way worse than anything they did to DL2. Tencent is probably worse than Ubisoft overall.

They still managed to outdone Ubisoft’s entire catalog with their first AAA release which astonishes me. (Coming from a massive AC fan btw and mirage will be the last AC i own.)
