Really if you want to save money, toilet cloths, there are many patterns on the internet. We've used them for years and saved a lot of money. Don't use paper towels, we have dish towels. don't need Kleenex's we use handkerchiefs. Us cornstarch for deodorant, and it is also for diaper rash.
So we've learned years ago how to cut cost in every way and still live well.

I am not worried. It has been this way my whole life. I am 53 years old. I have NEVER had to hoard anything. I have been through 5 very bad natural disasters. Including 38 days without electricity. I have a well. So I don't have to hoard water.

Mouth wash and toothpaste.
Dental floss.
Razors. Sharp knives and scissors. Paper books on how to do it. Medical books. Grade school and high school math, english and science books.
Nails and screws and construction staples.tar paper and a couple flats of shingles. Tarps and rope. Extra 2 x4 wood studs. A few sheets of plywood. Hand saws and hand drills. Chain saw and multiple spare chains.
Candles, oil lanters spare wicks and lantern oil. 😢Stick matches.
About 250 quart canning jars and enough lids for 5 years. Fertilizers.
Hunting ammo for rifles and shot guns.
Mouse traps and small mammal traps.
Food, food,food.
Blankets and shovels.
A lot of things you can find at various estate and yard sales for low cost.

Get Menstruation Cups - Menstruation Disks (for durable use 12 hours before refreshing - for five to six days in a month - every month - for at least a year)
Pain Reliever (over the counter)
get your teeth in order with a very good dentist - Invest in your Health !!!
if and when your family planning is done --> get sterilized or get done a vasectomy + buy condoms in your proper size
get a Bible - feed your God given Spirit - Pray often - even quietly in your own thoughts --> it works !!!
dry up toxic relationships - nourish healthy ones - listen to your guts !!!
take a first aid course and/or a midwife course --> because women on earth suffer the most - beside children
befriend with like minded people arond your property - you will need them one day.
train your physical fitness and your mind
NEVER EVER PANIC !!!!!
get out of debt
rather slow and safe than fast and dangerous - protect yourself from any danger !!!
maintain a healthy mind - this is your greatest asset - and keep in mind when it gets ugly: This moment will pass ☺🌺🕊

The dental kit is an absolute necessity for me. I have two crowns and one time a crown came loose. It can be very painful with the air and anything else touching it. I used the kit that you show in this video and it helped me get by until I could get to my dentist.

Years ago during a power outage I did a test to see how much water per day a family of 4 would use. 7 gallons per day for drinking, cooking , and minimal cleaning. No bathing or laundry.

Aside from the foolish toilet paper panic buy Canada hasn't had a terrible time of it. I guarantee you if there is another issue toilet paper will get scarce again because of panic buying. Really? Does anyone actually think toilet paper was in short supply? Someone panicked and all the sheep followed along. 😐🙄😐 I have an extended pantry supply that I built up by buying one dollar a day above my regular grocery bill. After three years I am sitting pretty. 🤗😉🤗

Tobacco and liquor are extremely negotiable barter items. People with addictions will trade almost anything to get what they're addicted to. I don't smoke, and I'm not much of a drinker, but liquor is a multi use item for homemade medicines and herbal remedies. For example, Grey Goose is a very good quality vodka which can be used for herbal medicines or barter. It will be in high demand during a SHTF scenario.

I can my own meat to save money. I only buy what's on sale and look out for garage sales and second hand stores for a pressure canner and Mason jars. If you still have room in the canner can your own beans from dry beans because it takes the same amount of time for pint jars of meat and of beans.

Check your vinegars too. My apple cider vinegar turned green! The white was ok. Good for mild disinfectant

Chicken and beef bouillon goes fast when pressure canning soups. Costco doesn’t have beef bouillon. I’m hoping they will be able to restock it soon.

try stockpiling dry bleach it doesn't degrade the same as already made liquid bleach. I just keep an empty liquid bleach bottle and use that to mix a new batch. With making your own you adjust the strength , make sure to wear PPE to keep safe.

I volunteer at two local food pantries weekly. Dry goods and canned beans & veggies (USDA) are plentiful but the last 6 months we have rarely gotten meat products. Even the Senior Boxes haven't had any canned meat in them. It's really sad. Some pantries get donations from stores that provide fresh produce, meats, and other goodies, but the USDA is sending the good food elsewhere...
