Thanks Tom, our site has this info - but - your video makes it super clear - great job!
ОтветитьGreat info Tom - it's crazy luxury tax even applies to EV's but fantastic info to ensure Aussie's don't pay anymore than necessary! I have ( as we previously discussed ) FSD and look forward to more functionality being available in V10 software! NOA is awesome too hope you get that soon too!
ОтветитьMost states also charge stamp duty on the purchase price. Stamp duty wouldn't apply to a "post purchase software update" though.
ОтветитьThanks Tom! So simple and easy to understand. $2,550 is massive savings!!
ОтветитьThis is very good information. It would be interesting to see how LCT would be calculated in the advent our Govt. decided to offer rebates on the purchase price of an EV? Thanks Tom.
ОтветитьPls mention Australia in the start of the video, can get people confused, or use the term 'Australian Dollar' a few times :)
ОтветитьWe haven’t ordered it. This is a great post.
ОтветитьMaybe add the word "price" to the title after FSD?
ОтветитьVery succinctly explained. Clear and concise. I had already pumped some comparative numbers into a spreadsheet and could see purchasing after delivery looked the way to go - so long as there wasn't an Elon Twitter Edict that was timed so it hurt.
I hope to order one day soon, though I'm not happy about the limited options for LR in comparison with other markets.
Wow what an upload, very handy - as many would in a rush order the car and not realise the LCT factor, and after watching this will realise its better to get FSD after vehicle arrives
ОтветитьDamn!! I needed this when I ordered ages ago. I did get FSD for $7100 though, but that's still $1100 less than getting it after.
ОтветитьI think you have misinterpreted Sydneydeliverys email. I think what they mean is that thier are no after delivery costs relating to FSD (subscription, updates etc).
Tesla have always maintained that purchasing FSD after delivery would be more expensive. This doesn't seem conclusive.
Just some friendly input here mate.
Forgive me but current cheapest model 3 w/FSD drive away price = $82,530. Does this make it ~$7k over the LCT, thus exposed to 33% tax on each of those $?
