I like your videos but they never address ways to heal when trauma sources are still present. I'm stuck cuz I truly have been dealing with issues of survival since the lockdowns. Every day. My nervous system is responding to real threats. And I have developed auto-immune responses that were never there pre 2020.

Anxiety kept me in a state of constant exhaustion, mentally drained and physically tired. I thought this was just my normal until a friend recommended Shift Your Mind by Alexander Brooks. It completely shifted how I approach anxiety, giving me the ability to cope effectively. Small changes made a huge difference ❤️

To anyone who's suffering depression, anxiety, insomnia and other mental health problems, you are not alone. I feel you. You are so brave. You are doing so well. I'm proud of you. I'm sending you a virtual hug ❤ what helped me get out of that dark spiral was journaling and mindfulness from Shift Your Mind by Alexander Brooks. The anxiety that used to control my whole day barely shows up now!🙏❤

I am scared. It’s been almost 2 years and I can’t feel my laughter when I laugh. My brain feels so swollen and tense and my fave gets frozen to the point I lose all my facial expressions. Is this anxiety or dorsal vagal shutdown?
My cognition works normal but my emotions especially happy ones are dead. Is it depression?

Peter Levine yes, an amazing man Iris, and so many (and you!), like Stephen Porges (polyvagal), and Bessel van der Kolk (the body keeps the score) and many many other valuable wonderful caring people who 'give' to help others, bless you all, from Belgium - i understand good the person who wanted to stop with x-medication, same here, i take cbd oil drops, i so do my best...so harsh tho. -- ALL the illnesses you refer to , yes... my finger up 😢, narc mom is so traumatic, and i did not realise, i just thought she is a master manipulator, getting older & good info here online gave me insight... my partner cannot 'see' it & keeps visiting, that makes is more difficult for me to heal

Until therapy (really all healthcare coverage) is available financially this issue will not be resolved. Also, how many people are ADHD with Rejection Sensitive Dysphoria?

This is life-saving information. Understanding that my body isn't broken, but rather stuck in a physiological response to past events, gives me so much hope. Thank you for your work and for sharing it so generously.

72 year old female. Molested as a teen by father while he shame lectured me when I would come from a date for an hour or longer, questioning what the boy did sexually to me when I stayed out of that lane. Our church was across the street and all I felt was dirty. My mother was a narcissist and finally died in 2020 at 96. She finished me off with her abuse. Panic attacks were my life despite all the meds over the years since my 40’s. Anxiety was in my life from 3 yrs old. I have memories back to when I was in diapers. I have Hashimotos. Since sept 2021 I experienced shortness of breath, chronic fatigue, exercise exertion malaise. Bedridden
Two factors
4 th Moderna vaccine.
Also started weaning from klonopin 2mg. During 2021. Im currently on 0.5 mg since April 2024. No doc including psychiatrist that put me on klonopin in my 40’s would problem solve why my body has changed from me being highly active. I haven’t titrated because too much stress from husband losing his job and putting house up for sale

Yes please do more content on connecting the dots to autoimmune, panic, PTSD, OCD, POTS, etc. :) and how to go about releasing trauma... Do I need to find a place to scream and rage out in an attempt to release something... or is releasing trauma more about internal work or talking it out/through? I feel I've bottled too much up as a child with no reliable outlet, and now I need to let that out somehow, but I don't know how to properly attempt to "let it out"... and does the methodology of releasing trauma tend to be different comparing males to females that have stored trauma?
