I am liking your informative video works.
ОтветитьAre there certain questions one should ask in regards to being 100% sure that they need to go to law school? Is there a particular frame of mind one should have, besides knowing they need a law degree for their future career?
ОтветитьI'd like to practice Auto-injury Accident or DWI attorney
ОтветитьSo, basically, don't read the book 'One L' before going to law school.
Edit: Hold up, you recommended reading it a couple videos later. I read it a couple years ago and it scared the hell out of me.
If I didn't do culinary school as well as smart, determined, and charismatic, I'd go into Internet Law, the same kind of dude who helped H3H3.
Ответитьi really want to go to lawschool, but i have to wait 2.5 more years...
ОтветитьThe gunner part is soooo true
There are a few gunners in my class who are very vocal and engaging while I just sit at the end roll
Guess who got a scholarship? None of them but me
Objection! my Name is Gunnar, and i take offense to this, lol
ОтветитьObjection, the thumbnail of this video suggests that dinosaurs are myths!
ОтветитьThe gunners are probably the sort who would prefer to be trial lawyers. But there are lots of other things lawyers do, and none of them require alpha-dog behavior.
ОтветитьWhy is it important to go to a "good" law school? Are there professions where it isn't very important?
ОтветитьI heard a lot about undergraduates majoring in different fields than law (political science, philosophy, psychology)
But does that mean that if I do my bachelor in law, ( I'm German by the way🇩🇪✌🏾) that I won't be accepted in any American law school?
Myth #4: Billable hours are a breeze.
ОтветитьGunners are what my dad often says - "Great thunder yet small drops."
ОтветитьWow only 31 comments? Wild. These videos are super nice even though I know he only does popular legal topics now.
ОтветитьMany, if not most, law students are simply gullible. At most law schools grades matter, and matter a lot. . .for 10 percent of the class. If you aren't in the top 10 percent of your class (top 5 percent for very grade-conscious law firms like Cravath and Skadden) your grades don't matter. Making journal matters if 1) that Journal is called The Law Review, and not a "secondary journal" and 2) again, if you are in the top ten percent of your class. Once the first year is over, and everyone has received their grades and knows where they stand, there is literally no point whatsoever in competing. As a practicing lawyer with decades and experience, I find the gullibility, and downright stupidity, of many of today's law students very disturbing. Law schools sell students a lie, promising them prestigious jobs with top firms, when in reality 9/10 law students will never even get an interview for a summer job with such a firm in their lives. Then, when the hapless dolt realizes that he, like 90 percent of his classmates, is out of the running for Big Law, and considers dropping out, the Law School Professors, Administrators etc., swoop in, telling these idiots "Well, if you're not top ten percent/Law Review, but you are top 1/3 & Space Law Journal" that's pretty much the same thing. . . .and they believe this, because they want to believe it. . .and we end up with our annual glut of new lawyers who can't find a job, and are willing to go to court for pennies, or even work for free, driving down fees for the successful lawyers. Lather/rinse/repeat. . . SMH. . ."Secondary Journals" are a scam, pretending that being in the top 31.253 percent of your class will get you a job is utter nonsense, and so on. Post graduation no one will care about this stuff, not even a little. Just another quarter-million in tuition and living expenses, now these are "student loans" that will follow the unemployed JD for the rest of his life.
