That portal is so weird... You werent that close to it, but lets say there was lag and you went in. Why did it put you far away from the other end of the portal?? And it wasnt an ability interaction as Emma has full HP.. Personally im done with Rivals, as there are too many issues that add up. Ive never seen this bug before but there are countless others.

Portals were so buns 2.5 update. No clue how they messed it up. Lost games because I would make a portal and would teleport itself stuck in the spawn room.

For those who didn't see the stream, they still one the match where flats got teleported to the unknown regions.

For the portal bug you encountered I believe you entered it sideways while it was opening, usually you cant do that but you caught it at JUST the right time to cause you to be clipped inside so it launched you as you entered unknowingly. Very rare in an actual game but its not hard to do. You went fast enough to the point where the game launched you in less than a frame

Im confused on his frustration? The portal thing I get that was INCREDIBLY SUSPICIOUS, but what was the other part?

its not super clear without replay but from the video alone i really only have one guess based on my vague understanding of the game functionality. for those that dont know the game has an 'out of bounds save' feature. if you stand still for too long in a state the game recognises you 'stuck' and prompts the 'H to teleport' to spawn button. maps have a killbox but i wonder if there is any hardcoded solution to players ending up in unacceptable collision.

the game trys to open a portal on you, you're in the way, portals are coded to be removed when colliding with terrain but ive never seen a case of portals deleting themselves due to player collision. hence, the game recognises something fucky is going on, is trying to decide which side of the portal it needs to put you in but for some reason decides it cant put you on EITHER side and as a last resort sends you to a 0.0?

that or the game freaked out trying to kidnap you while you were moving idk.
