that's actually pretty clever, I like the idea. naturally it's for hot weather. have you had your radiator push coolant out yet?
ОтветитьHow much is this dessert cooler in america?
ОтветитьHi WW2 Jeep and Rifle! Wow! This is a very useful video! There was a question, why this tank, now I will know what and how to do! Thank you very much for this video!
ОтветитьGreat info, thanks
ОтветитьI've seen pics of a fire extinguisher, placed in those brackets.
ОтветитьYes thanks its very in formativ video about the cooling can of ford I have ever seen
ОтветитьI have an expansion tank installed higher up on the grill, used extra bit of hose. I kept radiator cap on the radiator, opposite to what you say, still works ok.

Ответитьhi i am driving a Mahindra MM540 DP Peugeot 2112 engine (a much heated engine) back in India and wish to add this. Could you please let me know is it possible and I appreciate if you could share the detailed diagram of the installation
ОтветитьVery informative, thanks.
ОтветитьWow. Very cool. Thank you
ОтветитьSo the cap on the radiator is 4lbs
ОтветитьThat's neat. You'd naturally think it'd be an extra cooler or something, but this makes complete sense. An overflow tank has been a given since I started wrenching on my own.
ОтветитьWhere do u get one?
ОтветитьGood Upload 👌
ОтветитьThank you. This answers several questions I had.
ОтветитьIt was invented by Brig. Bagnold in the 1930ies and later used on the LRDG vehicles!
ОтветитьPainfull narration, this would have been a useless educational film when all this tech was current,WW2 would have been over before the info was delivered. Sorry but despite the good video film quality it is awfull, remake it please!
ОтветитьImportant to just keep the water level roughly halfway up the desert cooler canister, don't fill more than this as you need to leave space for it to work. Also, when checking the water level this is done by just checking the canister. Interestingly, here in the UK, Land Rovers (at least military ones) have an identical system except that the canister is fitted in the engine bay.
ОтветитьThe original version designed by LRDG (Long Range Desert Group) Officer Ralph Bagnold and was called a condenser.
Ответить👍👍👍
ОтветитьI add a can to my f134 cj5 but i keeped the original cap on the radiator and let it over
fill to the can just like in modern vehicles.
Hey brother just wanted to let you know those caps should be switched if your using the tank as an overflow. The pressure cap should be on the radiator and the zero cap on the tank. Just as any standard car would have.
