Your comments in the beginning about PTSD…everything you said was exactly how I’ve been feeling except for the part about family members concerned for my safety or sanity. They’ve chosen to ignore the issue and ignore the genocide and cut me off from daily communication so I don’t mention it. And that has hasten the depression and isolation in witnessing this. And just knowing that the majority of the people I interact with online are also ignoring me and the issues.

I'mlooking at these smiling children and anxious adults in her early footage and can't help wondering how many of these beautiful people are dead, orphaned, mutilated, imprisoned, tortured. Heartbreaking.

I fee that there’s a moment for every generation that changes the way they view the U.S and begins to radicalize them. Vietnam in the 60s, War on drugs and Watergate in the 70s, Iran-Contra in the 80s, The countless CIA coups and overthrows in this time, The lies of the “War on Terror” and now in the 2020s, it’s realizing what the support of Israel has been about this whole time, it’s not self defense, it’s never been that. Now, the U.S as they always have, support genocide when it’s in their best interest to. I’ve never truly felt heartbreak and despair but seeing the destruction of Gaza and understanding what the residents have been going through for the past 75 years has been disheartening to say the least. I think of Bisan everyday knowing that the IDF will target and kill her any day now and those that still cling on to Zionism and view Israel as an alley after all this time will label her a terrorist and carry on because it doesn’t involve “us”. The election, The Super Bowl, The Oscars, The Olympics, they’re all distractions from the actual important atrocities in this world. I always wondered how people stood by and did nothing as The Holocaust, Slavery, Cambodian genocide, etc. were happening in their subconscious, now I know after seeing how several figures I look up to and people in my personal life have responded.
