A great way to practice using this brush is to use just clear water in the brush and work on medium coloured card or pastel paper. You can see your work as you practice and then it fades and dries and you can keep using the same sheet. You can also print your guidelines on the sheet to help with consistency and angles until your muscle memory kicks in. I am a beginner at this but using this method is helping me to practice without worrying about wasting money and paper.
