I would love if there are good chances for a data scientist to become a freelancer, and if so, what typical work they have compared to data scientists who work in a big company. Do startups usually need a data scientist aswell or rather / most common just "bigger" companys? Thank you

As a Sr. Data Scientist I’m currently making €5200 a month + bonuses which is in the range he mentioned. With bonuses it will be around €78k a year but that depends more on the specific deal you get.

I am in my first IT job as a support analyst. I dont have a tech degree, i know html, python, javascript. My want my career as a data scientist. Do you have any advice on how to become one with no IT degree?

£40-60k would be really bad in the US for a full time tech job, even doing conversations pound to dollar. You wouldn't be able to live in most major US cities, certainly not the ones with tech jobs. Are the costs of living significantly lower in the UK???
