Your enhancements add to the model rather than subtract from it. I would buy yours at resale over a sealed mint one!

I prefer "used" models because they can be properly photographed.

I can then inspect the condition and details and proportions etc, and determine any flaws.

A "new", " mint' sealed model can and often do have some defect you don't notice until opened. So it's more of a risk.

So as for modifying it, you've inproved it. It's now a 1 of 1 in a way (although replicable).

Even unmodified, opening nodels has no impact on price for me.

As soon as it's in my possession it's getting opened and inspected, photographed, and enjoyed.

Then it is displayed for a while before possibly rotating to another model

when modified the right way and keeping the details as sharp and as close as the real thing, it then become one of....But again, that is my opinion....
