Every refrigerant system has it's own and specific ideal superheat. The factory 4K is simply playing it safe, Danfoss does not want You to back flush your compressor. What you have to do is to adjust your TXV to the point it starts hunting and back it of 1/4 turn (T2/TE2 other valve look it up) . You do this at end of cycle when your system has reached its working temperature. If every technician would take the time to correctly adjust the superheat we all would safe massive amounts of energy and lots of compressors.

This method dosent make evaporate frozen ?

How often do you see TXV needs to be adjusted? I have seen a system that’s running 9F sub cool and superheat is 24F. Factory asking for 8-18F superheat. New system too.

We have an issue in our marine packaged aircon system which has Danfos TEX...

The entire line after TEX till suction of compressor along with evaporator gets icing and eventually suction pressure drops down.

The system is not overcharged as the level of regrigerant in sight glass of condenser is just below half.

Do we need to starve the evaporator by adjusting TEX?? for that we need to turn adjusting knob on TEX clockwise to increase the superheat right??
