Thanks!
ОтветитьHey AssFacts, I have a question that's kind of region specific. What range would you consider magnification on a rifle/carbine to be mandatory? Over here in the great swamp of Florida, "engagement" ranges are realistically 200yds at most. A more realistic engagement range would be 50-75yds. I can group 4" reliably with an M&P Sport and an Eotech at 100yds (standing while supported), but I honestly don't know if I'd be able to land consistent hits in a scenario where the paper is clapping back. Thanks!
ОтветитьI always go SR07 with the plug/button end cap.
ОтветитьI thought the holster search was expensive until I stumbled into flashlights and scout mounts.
ОтветитьThis dude seriously pays 10000% markup when he could buy the same emitters off AliExpress.
L'mao
Weltool is a Chinese clone of surefires (same threads/mounts/ecosystem) I think of them as the holosun of weapon lights
ОтветитьThanks for sharing the frustrations of weapons light. Good to see I'm not the only guy with a big box of light parts. BTW, since you are joining the dark side of the force with AK's, we should know if that was approved by HOP? Or is it just our secret?
ОтветитьI just want a light that doesn't sewer slide itself under the totally immense shock of manually cycling the bolt (looking at you streamlight).
ОтветитьStep 1: Buy a Surefire DFT rifle light
Step 2: Mount it and click button soft for momentary on, and hard for continuous on
Step 3: Experience happiness
Looks at drawer full of different kinds of surefire mlok and picatinny mounts
"I love and and hate you at the same time." I whisper under my breath.
If surefire fixed the tape switch performance drop issue on the new turbo, would there be any performance drop using that zbolt dual function end cap and the using tape switches?
ОтветитьThe pro mount is the most disappointment I have had with a weapon light. Close second was the plugable pressure pad on the streamlight hl-x.
I had a Chinese scout pro clone on a 22, and the mount was really nice. Cleared iron sights, had the perfect amount of room to swivel in close and not catch on anything. So I got a couple surefire pros for my defense guns. The swivel mount on the pro brought the light in closer than Chinese one did, so I couldn't get it to mount how I wanted and how the Chinese one would to any of my guns. So now I have streamlights and an olight on my rifles and surefires in a box.
I’m glad you mentioned Steiner products not working in the cold. My Dbal D2 had significant output degradation with a fresh battery in a near 0 degree night one time.
ОтветитьThe only surefire stuff I get anymore is the G2x tactical and mount it with an odin mlock mount. Just use the tailcap switch. Simple is good.
ОтветитьThis helped explain the surefire stuff to me. Thanks!
ОтветитьHELP, I've fallen for olight, and i can't get up! it detonated in my pocket.
ОтветитьQuote from a flashlight company product review
"He sort of aspires to brownness doesnt he?"
"the verdict is still out"
No! The jury is still out! That is why there is no veredict yet!
Who wrote this part? Fake Andrew Garfield again?
Love to see you review the scalarworks leap mount with the kick offset dots. I Think its a superior solution to the whole ring mount situation.
ОтветитьI have a love/hate relation ship with the TAPS. I love that I can have a setup that does VIS spectrum and IR with dedicated buttons but the dual activation button sucks ass and I have to really press on it hard to get it to not flicker.
ОтветитьWhile watching this video my wife said most men don't know how to fondle the nipples correctly...
ОтветитьI just bought a ali express clone works for 556 lol
ОтветитьHapa spergy af.
ОтветитьWhy was it this video and hop that taught me what bipoc meant.
ОтветитьI will never understand why gun folks love Surefire. Amongst flashlight folks they're a complete laughing stock. The price-performance ratio is astonishingly bad compared to lights by manufacturers like Fenix, Klarus, Nitecore, etc. Whenever Surefire announces a new "innovation", it's trailing the overall market by about 4-5 years. It's like getting hard over broadband when fibre exists. Sure... it works... sort of? But there are objectively better options starting from 1/8th the price.
ОтветитьSouthwest black bean n beef is one of the best MRE.
Ответить"Brock the brown"
ОтветитьThose style of plugs are so stupid that my streamlight couldn't even stay on unless the plug was placed in the right direction, at the right angle (since it would also literally tilt in the jack, which is horrible!), and at the perfect depth too. If it was plugged in too far, or not enough, or twisted too far, or tilted a lil bit to one side, it wouldn't keep contact. It's just a cheap plastic funnel with two little bent contacts sticking out of the sides from holes, where the bent contact planes sprung to be able to push outwards with a lil bit of force and to let the contacts slide over other parts of the jack before the two contacts like up with their matches.
What an idiotic design, dude just use ANY other kind of power transmission at all, like even 3.5mm audio jack would have been more acceptable to me, there are so many other better things that they could use to hook A REMOTE SWITCH TO A FLASHLIGHT,
DUUUUUDE, this is why I hate aftermarket companies in firearms industry
Aspires to browness bhahah
ОтветитьComplaining about loose Pro mounts without mentioning our lord and saviour the mighty zip tie
ОтветитьSurefire decided to add an extra fuck you by adding a little plastic ring inside the UE tailcap resulting in it not working with unity pressure switches.
Two of my friends bought Surefire M600 Turbos, UE tailcap and Unity Axon and ended up having the same issue. The tailcap and pressure switch worked on a Streamlight Protac 2 with an arisaka adapter to surefire however which was strange. Removing the plastic ring allowed the pressure switch to work normally, though its a pain in the ass to get out.
How does the Surefire outperform the Rein? Especially now that Rein's can use surefire switches and caps if you buy the legacy body or buy that $40 adapter. I have a SureFire Turbo, but I'm checking out the Rein's as well because they seem like they are better in every way except durability (we don't really have enough evidence yet to say how durable and reliable the lights themselves are over time. But the testing on their durability has been pretty impressive so far
ОтветитьI’m a huge believer in the raw reliability of simple push-button tailcap activation. I have never trusted the overpriced and underperforming tape-switch shenanigans, and a host of elite operators agree with me.
ОтветитьMe over here rocking my $37 Feyachi special that works ok lol
ОтветитьZ68 supremacy.
ОтветитьI just buy surefire heads and arisaka bodies and surefire tail caps and surefire tape switches, and arisaka mounts
ОтветитьAm I the only one that thinks $50 for a tiny Arisaka mount is INSANE?!
ОтветитьYup. Thats why I use streamlight
ОтветитьYou made this deliberately hard on yourself then complained about it lol
ОтветитьThanks for this!!!! <3
ОтветитьThanks for adding yet another rabbit whole in my life 😊
Ответитьif you want good cheap flashlight, buy Chinese and replace the battery, maybe LED chip or control board. It will cost you 30usd max. The markup on surefires is crazy.
ОтветитьI do as my muzzle flash guides.
ОтветитьMeanwhile I'm running a $35 Tractor Supply JobSmart weapon light :)
ОтветитьSo with a modlite okw the only switch that will allow you full power is the gas cap? Was hoping the z bolt would work but couldn’t confirm
ОтветитьIlluminating discussion. After pricing weapons lights, I went old school and duct tape and hose clamped a Maglight.
Ответить"He was demoted to white because of his behaviors" 😂😂😂
ОтветитьJust wear a headlamp. You'll have light everywhere you look without needing to point your muzzle at whatever you want to illuminate.
ОтветитьGot myself two 640 turbos and haven't regretted my purchase (yet)
