The Weirdness of it is that if the authorities in their wisdom think that the constant changing of visa rules make tourists more inclined to board a plane to Thailand then it proves they don't really understand their target market. After all the upheaval over the past 2-3 years, a little stability and trust are what folks are craving to motivate a return to travel abroad.

Can I fly to a neighbouring country and straight back again to get an extra 45 days (i.e. 90 days total) ?

For the life of me I've never understood why Thailand doesn't seek to capture, and own, the market of international snow birds who seek a winter home away from home for up to 6 months or so. Requiring tourists, who would like nothing better than to spend their entire winter in Thailand, to leave and re-enter the country after 30 days (old rules / 60 with extension) simply drives the market to neighbouring Asian countries who are more than happy to welcome the business. Back when I was forced to make "the run" I chose to use the requirement as an opportunity to explore, and spend my tourism dollars, in Vietnam, Philippines, Laos, Indonesia or in the case of Malaysia for up to 90days. What the visa run accomplished was opening my eyes to these wonderful alternatives to Thailand so it's difficult to see how such a "restriction" benifits Thailand's tourism industry and those Thais who depend on it for their livelihood. On top of that, with strains of the virus still out and about, shouldn't there be some thought given to avoiding unnecessary potential cross border infection? With all the juggling they are want to do, is there a reason I'm not grasping as to why the tourism authorities in Thailand have not moved to create a 6 month tourist visa option? If they would do so I'm sure it would be met with enthusiasm world wide and would create a windfall for the entire nation.

This is an off topic question: Are you planning on posting your videos to other platforms? Many top content creators have left this platform, or making preparations to do so. They are actively encouraging viewers not to watch them here, but find them on alternatives. It has gotten to the point where it has become an after thought for me to come on this platform.

I've seen everywhere that it's valid until 31 of march but been trying to find if I get 45 days or 30 days if I arrive around 5-7th of march?
Since it ends 31 march it wouldn't surprise me if I don't get 45 days if I arrive in early march...

Problem is, you never know what you will get at Immigration. You may well only get 30 days initially even though others in same situation got 45. They make mistakes. Happened to me before. You do not automatically get an extension either - it is not guaranteed, so how can you book a flight out at day 70 when you do not know if you will be allowed the 75 days (30 day extension).
It makes it all too complicated.

THANKS. Please and can anybody go far enough on the next level which is my question please if he did not go far enough to tell us if we want 45 more days can we get the 45 day Visa or border run from Laos or Cambodia and then it would be?
so we get 45 on arrival,
a 30-day extension at Thai immigration and then can you get a 45-day Visa or border Run added on to your 75 days bye going in and out of Laos or Cambodia for a total of 120 days?
Simple question.
I'm surprised he did not take it to that next level and go there?
Please anybody?
or even a Cambodia or Laos Visa Run & I hear they might be giving 45 day stamp coming back into Thailand from either LAOS or Cambodia🇺🇸

It's better than Taiwan that gives only 30 days visa-exempt for my passport. When I went to ask, Taiwan Immigration female staff was annoyed that I was asking for an extension on an "already visa-exempt" stamp. She kept saying in Chinese "Visa Exempt! Visa Exempt!". Taiwan is ridiculous & that's why so few tourists bother to go there. Thailand however (I haven't tried it yet but I will be), allows 30-day extension on visa-exempt stamp. I don't know if these countries are really not understanding how to capture tourists' money or they don't want/don't need the money. It makes sense to keep the tourists for as long as possible, rather than getting them to leave. Air fare is very expensive & every trip to the airport is exposure to the virus. A country has to be worth the while to go to. I flew all the way from Turkey to Taiwan on an expensive airfare for many hours and Taiwan only gives 30 days with no extension (plus very expensive hotels & food).
