A meh-tier essay, mostly composed with non-scientifical works and open sources (as we do know, all the open sources about such a well-known and popular country as BELARUS hold only truths)
1. The early separation of Polotsk from all-russian politics due to trade contacts with cities of HRE and Scandinavians was not explained at all; as well the separation of Rogwolodids dynasty from Rurikids
2. No information about slavic colonisation of baltic lands: no information about colonies in Latgalia and Curonia, no information about Castrum Curvum or baltic population in the west half of modern-day Belarus; no analysis on what "Litva/Litua" meant before 20 century.
3. The full self-government in Commonwealth is called "Polish rule" -- God bless my ancestors, that they don't hear it.
Etc.

As an essay for your schoolteacher about some country in the middle of nowhere it may be a good material -- but completely not as an answer why my country exists. Complete profanity.
