Drag race : Renault Clio 4 RS VS Clio 3 RS Cup (Motorsport)

To have a fair drag race, the Clio 4 shouldn't use launch control. Kind of an obvious result anyway, that a turbocharged engine wins this. Put them on a track and you'll see which one is the best hot hatch ;)

Unfair cause 3RS its 30kgs, heavier than 4RS! and 3RS should weight less more like 1100/1150Kgs. tops at least to be a real GTi, CUP or RScup, etc, besides 3RS has Renault engine OEM and the newer model (4RS) has a Nissan engine (good engine tho) and that simply Sucks so baaaad :-S also the 4RS has EDC (dual clutch) transmission that the older Clio 3RS hasnt... so UNFAIR comparison!!!

The Clio 3 didn't rev high enough at pull away and lost all its power. The Clio 4 will win but it should be a much closer race.

Why are people hating so bad on the new clio rs compared to its predecessor? It looks better regardless what the old schoolers say, its got far more toys inside and nicely touched up interior, its quicker than the old one and its a smaller engine which means more mpg. Plus its not that expensive and practical with 2 more doors n a decent boot. Ye its not as raw n has a flappy paddle auto but really times move on! Im getting mine this year n i cant wait!

La clio 3 è leggermante indietro e il pilota parte veramente male. Oltre tutto la rs4 ha il launch control. Senza contare che una ha un telaio quasi da rally rigidissimo, completamente rivisto rispetto alle versioni normali,mentre la 4 no. Oltre all'assetto ovviamente. E quando poi iniziano le curve vediamo chi la vince.

Ok. Ahora que lo prueben saliendo desde parado en una cuesta de un 17%.

The clio 3 looks WAY better from all angles. The 4 is fucking ugly no matter how much power they put in it. For the price of a new clio 4 you could get a clio 3 second-hand and put a turbo on it. There's no comparison. They screwed up the clio 4 so bad they had to put a megane engine and manual gearbox in it to try and make it cool again.

clio iii rs last good clio, megane iii rs last got megane. Renault sport sold out and made less driver focused cars to cater to plebs.

New one a much better car, more tuneable too. Mine has 288 bhp, try getting that from a MK 3.

Shitty driver in clio 3 rs don't know how to use manual gearbox

Une clio 3 rs d'origine ne sort pas ses chevaux, j'en possède une elle faisait 188ch avant sa prépa. Après prépa ligne, filtre à air, bougies, et reprog sur banc je suis passé à 210ch environ. Donc le moteur n'est pas pleinement libéré d'origine.
Lancé en deuxième contre une Clio 4 rs ce n'est plus le même son de cloche. Mon rupteur légèrement décalé à 7900...

The 3rs is far better looking but really really slow, unacceptably so.

I got rid of mine as it felt gutless, felt like I was driving a 1.6L. Yes they handle well but you do also need a reasonable amount of straight line speed.

I lost every race in my 3rs, even to diesels.

I still prefer Clio 3

The clio 3 rs is a pure hot hatch, great fun to drive.
The clio 4 rs is just a averge and not so great to drive.

Both of 'em slow whatt the hell
