How much gain can be made?
Ответитьgreat one andrew
do thickness of brass play any role in quality or range drastically ?
This is an antenna I have no need for since i had my covid boosters.
Ответитьtoo complicated for me. I'm sticking to wifi antennas.
ОтветитьAs you used the blowtorch to heat the metal I noticed the base plate was not flat.
Will this effect the frequency being that the square plate seemed warped?
Hi Andrew, it would be fantastic if you could do a video on filters. Addressing how to filter out noise with and without amps such that you have looked at before.
I used to develop Drones for my old company here in Singapore using the 433mhz freq for controlling and tellemitry and I used a 2.4ghz frequency for the video and control of other drones due to regulations with a 10watt amp and a directional biquod antenna.
So Addressing filtering out additional noice is very important while having a powerful yet compact mobile set up.
Thanks as always
Chris
I have to build one of these and put it in my tree in my front yard. It's 150' up. What do I need to do to reduce signal loss? Or is there no way something like this will work to be fed into my house as a repeater?
ОтветитьIt's been a while. I always enjoy your videos and the knowledge, information, and ideas you share.
ОтветитьBrass or copper is better for capturing mobile signals ?
ОтветитьThis would look nice in a clear box with some blue led lighting.
ОтветитьNice build! Glad to see you back with a new release. The antenna channels available on YT are quickly becoming fewer and further between.
A question I’ve been wanting to ask pertains to your test bench. Is your analyzer Scalar? I ask because I have been seeing a number of HP Scalar Network Analyzers with ranges into the 60ghz for next to nothing. And they are in great condition.
There are a few videos around on the differences between Scalar and Vector N.A. If in all your free time you might record some thoughts on the topic, a lot of us will be greatly appreciated. I thought you had before but I looked in past videos and didn’t find it.
Thanks for the great video. If ever you’ve the time, I know myself and a few other viewers would appreciate the opportunity to pick your brain during a live stream. Something to consider. Glad to see you’re still with us.
What a beautiful antenna. Great craftsmanship! 👍👍👍
ОтветитьDoes anyone know is there such a thing as a fractal (flat) antenna for 5g LTE..I would love to have a series of flat antennas on the inside of my top floor window to suck in mobile internet. Appreciate any thoughts. I only ask about fractal antenna as its flat and would be easily mounted on a window pane..thx
ОтветитьCould you use copper instead of brass?
ОтветитьWill we be seeing this antenna on eBay for those who are hopeless at DIY. If so you have at least one customer.
Ответитьnó hoạt động trên băng tần bao nhiêu
ОтветитьWhat do I do with it once I build it? (Asking for a friend)
ОтветитьIs it possible to use the 4G frequency?
ОтветитьHope to see this build in actual test..or in field test..
ОтветитьThis is amazing, you hit all the sweet spots.
ОтветитьAlt yazılara Türkçe eklerseniz sevinirim.
ОтветитьI'm very grateful to Andrew Mcneil, his videos have helped me a lot repect to wifi antennas and its modifications.
ОтветитьSorry to ask here. What if we want to build a GSM amplifier antenna? In order not to connect antennas to any device specifically. Thanks.
Ответитьvery nice design , and excellent performance.. :👍, Can this be modified for n78 5g band ?
Ответитьthat is art!
Ответитьsir, i have designed an omni antenna at 900MHz having the length of 1500mm and the diameter is 6mm, now i want to connect with RJ58 cable, how can i connect sir? i have tried the direct wire soldering to the bottom of the rod but it didn't sticked. please help me sir, thanks in advance
ОтветитьHi there, thank you for the very elegant design. @ 3.40 you mention a simple aluminium jig to align the 37mm vertical tubes prior to soldering. you state that the jig is made with "5mm". Is that correct? Again many thanks. May I also ask the height of the elements?
ОтветитьWhat is the diameter of the hole in the center of the 72mm disc?
Ответитьlove you'r videos since ever. made myself some of you'r designs. could you design a high gain omni antenna for 915mhz LoRa ??
Ответитьis it better if i used copper?
ОтветитьMetal name please 😢
Amazing!!! just a few questions 1) it is feasible to add more directors? 2) does the size of the reflector have to be 130mm or could be more? 3) What's the average swr for this antenna unfortuantely my VNA doesn't analyse above 1.5ghz so it's a bummer 4) Would there be any noticeable gains in increasing the thickness of the material say 2-3mm for all elements. Thanks in advance.
Ответитьvery informative
ОтветитьThis antenna is calll Katherin antenna
ОтветитьThank you for the great demo and instructions. Might need a back-up mike and recorder. Lots of relatively cheap ones on the market now.
