The dormers are a brilliant addition!
Cheers to your dedication and innovation in model making and continuing to share with us!
Matt slow down! I can’t get my head around it in time! More awesomeness!
ОтветитьI love the blue roof! Is that based off of anything historical? Doesnt have to be, just curious
ОтветитьI pobably wont make any of your Terrain singe I already have so much stuff and dont want to start a whole new system...
But damn, its so satisfying seeing your stuff come together I cant stop watching!
You Sir, are a true Master of the craft!
Great idea to use modules assembled with magnets.
ОтветитьThis is a great addition to your system as always. I have made a set of your floor tiles but decided to try and use only larger 5mm magnets for attachment. They have a much stronger pull force (~1.5 lbs vs. ~.9 lbs) I used PVA glue to attach them as I feel it makes a stronger bond, but does take much longer to fully cure. Moderate tugging with other 5mm magnets did not cause them to be pulled out of the foam once the glue was fully cured.
They might be a good way to get around the card system all together, but I don't have nearly enough pieces to test all possible scenarios. One down side is the 5mm magnets are more expensive than the 3mm and you need 8 per tile, so costs can add up quick.
Just some food for thought. Thank you for your videos. They are honestly what got me into this hobby and I have enjoyed every moment of it since.
When I get my Proxxon, I'll be doing it through you link sense I wouldn't be getting one if it wasn't for your videos to begin with. Just need my wife to give me my allowance early. "Hey honey! Can I talk to you......"
ОтветитьHey archive! I would really like to follow these tutorials at home, this'll be my first time terrain building aha. If you dont mind me asking, what tools do you use? Like hot wire cutter and foam? Many thanks :)
ОтветитьOh man... this is PURE GOLD! Gona build some Frost Grave & Rangers of Shadow Deep (Mordheim) ENTIRE TERRAINS with that!
ОтветитьJust the tip though
ОтветитьYou improve your modular system. These roofs are excellent
ОтветитьVery nice. Seriously the accuracy of your roofs are amazing. The lookouts and fascia and shingle placement. The overall construction looks so freaking mint my guy.
Ответитьwhat kind of foam do you use?
ОтветитьJust finished watching all your videos. I can't wait to get started. I've seen others use a magnet system, but not the same way. Yours seem much more innovative. I'm very excited.
ОтветитьVery nice! Good job :D
Ответить+1 metrics
ОтветитьHuzzah
ОтветитьYour US source for magnets was a good choice. I am in the US and I have been looking around. I settled on them before I saw your equipment list. They are a bit pricey, but they offer free shipping on a $30 order and accept PayPal's 4 payment plan, if budget is a concern.
ОтветитьIf I had friends to play dnd with in person I would build these
ОтветитьYou clever clever bast*** where do you get your foam in the U.K. Mate B&Q?
ОтветитьThe bricks look fine the way they are IMO. If you made them smaller then they would be more realistic, but less visible.
I love the blue BTW.
I'm new to your channel. I just subscribed! Enjoying your video so far, I have many ideas not to make my tiles better!
ОтветитьThis is such an genius way of making customisable houses. Bravo!
ОтветитьSigh. Now, having binged through all your terrain videos, I have to wait for your next new video. Ah, well, there are still two or three elementary miniatures tutorials left on your channel; no doubt I'll pick up some useful pointers there, too. All-in-all, a great channel, with lots of potential for future material. I've been inspired to conceive of terrain I don't even have the materials of facilities to create (such as a dwarven steamworks). More incentive to refurbish my basement, I s'pose. Thanks again for all the hard (brain)work, Matt. =^[.]^=
ОтветитьIf you can do this with foam, then you can be a carpenter!!
ОтветитьYour face is so amazing to look at.. I don't know what it is.... But really love it the video of course 😉😉😉❤️😱
Ответитьstupid question ... where is the pinned comment ?
ОтветитьWhat would it take to get you to make a few buildings without the modular parts and sell resin casts of them for Wargames?
Ответитьimagine an anonymous partnership in which shares are distributed as magnets instead of profits. oh boy, we would save a lot of money.
ОтветитьI'm new to the channel and I just love your system!.
I'm trying to replicate some stuff for our dnd terrain but I'm having a hard time with the main pieces. I don't know if I'm always missing the measures for the main pieces but I can't find them. Are the main pieces 3x3 inches before you cut the angles?
Am I the only one who can’t follow this? Might someone have a cheat sheet or a diagram that will help the Durchess wrap her head around this?
ОтветитьI am concerned about the safety of XPS foam, like with small particles and fumes, Is it safe to cut?
Note: I do not have a hotwire cutter at this time, only knives
You can temporarily make your shifting lands stay put by laying a bit of kitchen towel on the runner slot then pushing the guide into the slot, I doesn't make it immovable but I does need more than a knock to move it
ОтветитьI love everything your doing...but your videos stress me out haha
ОтветитьSeeing your work is encouraging me to get back into modeling. Have a sub!
ОтветитьWhy don't you start a Kickstarter campaign to industrialize your projects and create a business of selling customizable sets? I would definitely support you.
ОтветитьThe precision and interchangeability of this system is really satisfying to watch! It's almost like video game assets in real life.
ОтветитьDont even like D&D but find these videos fascinating .... excelent craftmanship
Ответитьjust realized whats missing. outhouses
ОтветитьI live in a such a small space so it's unrealistic to have the equipment needed to make these myself, for right now at least. Are there going to be commissions and/or modular sales from you in the future? I'm sure the community has asked you before, but I am new to the channel.
Ответить❤
ОтветитьI've been trying to work with magnets for removable walls, but I've been having problems with the magnets pulling out of the foam/hot glue. First i create a hole, add hot glue, and then insert the magnet. I then add a little more hot glue to seal it in. However, after 1-2 uses it just rips right out of the hole. Am I using too powerful of magnets (they look just like yours), or am I missing something here?
ОтветитьThis is torture. I have so much work to do now
Ответитьbeautiful stonework!
ОтветитьSnip, snip, snip. I laughed
ОтветитьDo you sell any of these sets that you make?
Ответить
