I fill the right sink with super-HOT water and soap (make sure to make lots of bubbles) soak your dished and wash them in there. Pile all the soapy dishes left sink and when it's filled rinse them with cold water and set them in the dish washer to dry.....

I'm not from the UK,but the way you did dishes in this video is how I've always done mine. I also rinse the soap off before putting them in the drainer.
