Where is FEMA when you need it? I'm in North Carolina and we are experiencing the storms and deluge now.

FEMA HAS NO MONEY. GOVERNMENT DOESN'T CARE

I was in some of that heavy rain last night coming from 'Charlestown W'va to Woodbridge VA, around 10:42pm on Route 15 [two-lane roads, of hills & curves most of the way]. And, it was touch & go in spots, on at least three occasions where the rain was so hard, I couldn't see the lines & hydroplaned, a little, once due to water buildup on the road. I was looking for somewhere to pullover but didn't and made it home safely. So good luck to to your town & may time heal all wounds as you go though this tragedy.

For decades, in situations like this, the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) would come in and provide emergency assistance. That is, the stricken area would receive assistance from federal workers and federal dollars. That is, because we are a union, you would receive assistance from all of the other 49 states. Not anymore. Trump has repeatedly stated that states are now on their own. Hurricane in Louisiana or Florida? You are now on your own. Tornado in Oklahoma or Missouri? You are now on your own. Flooding in Kentucky or West Virginia? Under the Trump administration, you are all on your own. . . . You might have noticed that at no time did this man being interviewed indicate ANY federal assistance: no workers, no equipment, no money. . . . The money is going to go to the billionaires if Trump's/Republicans' big ugly bill passes. You folks brought this harm upon yourselves. . . . But we do not celebrate this. We are sad about it. You are family. We are a union!

The Trump administration just spent $50 MILLION on a parade while defunding FEMA. . . . Hopefully, you got a lot of enjoyment out of that parade.

Valley Grove got hit the most and the water flows west toward Wheeling. Elm Grove floods all of the time. The creek is literally 4 feet lower than road in most of that area but it's wider and mostly ponding. This was bit more because of the heavy run off from Valley Grove and eastern of Elm Grove. That is where the creek flows, thru Elm Grove to the Ohio River. Hope that helps a bit.

I live 35 miles downriver , just drove through there that afternoon . But we did not get anything .
