Nice but you missed a lot...Most important Manasija ,Sombor, Vrsac....Spa towns... Kopaonik mountain...
Spa town Niska banja is 10 mins from Nis and third most important spa town Soko banja is 40 mins by car...Also Kopaonik is in top 5 tourist destination...Very close when you are in Nis and have car

Serbia is small country but very pride and if need we go to war whatever force is, like Ottoman empire and we now that not have a chance but we go on battle on Kosovo Polje we lost of course, after 500 year we liberate but then came world war 1 we have huge losses in that one, and after that WW2 again much greater army but we win that to again huge losses, than a period of integration in Yugoslavia than we fall apart it's ok but after that USA and NATO bomb us and abducted by force a part of Serbia the cradle and heart of Serbia Kosovo, how to fight against western media propaganda and bombs but it take times Kosovo will be our again We are extremely peaceful country and nation never colonize other country like all western Europe and the evil USA government but we welcome everybody i like how you present Serbia hope you came again God bless and safe journey.

What a nice day trip in Nish! They are indeed somber places to visit but the concentration camp and memorial (which not many people know about) and the tower of skulls were part of the past, as you said and must not be forgotten. Next time go to Sokobanja 1 hr north of Nis. It's a popular spa town!

Niš has maybe the best traditional food in Serbia. You have a lot of restaurants down town and in the outskirts as well (Mrak for example) with top notch food. A lot of the food is genuine slow food with pots and stews. It's really a city worth visiting only for the food with prices much lower than in the west. Although a good burek is never wrong there is much more to it concerning food (and wine) in Niš.

In Yugoslavia during WWII Nazis killed more Serbs in concentration camps than Jews. Way more.

how come you didnt visit.while in Nis that human skull thingy? it was made from Serbian folk who stood up to muslim ottomans in revolt to gain freedom.. that is why Serbs love freedom and we sooner or later pay it with blood and after millions Serbs killed by enemies or chase away from century old housholds.. we love life and people.. told you missed a lot to really understand how it is beautyful place;)
