In "Velocity Banking" you're supposed to pay off the entire mortgage with the heloc not just a portion, otherwise you have the mortgage and Heloc payment simultaneously. Otherwise you need to pay the heloc off fast, doesn't sound like the caller through much about that before they went forward with this strategy. I prefer the advice, just pay down the principal on the mortgage
