whyd i think she was gonna say mat Murdoch
Ответитьthat wasn’t even that bad a reaction…honestly i get where she’s coming from because most parents spend a lot of time picking out names lmao. at least she’s trying XD
ОтветитьI get it my mom picked out a name with my older brother when he came out, but I didn't let my mom pick out a name with me and she was really upset about it and honestly it's just because sometimes parents just wanna be involved and honestly, if you're like no no I don't like any of the names you like I'm going with this one. They'll probably end up being fine with it in the end. They just a lot of the time they like being involved in the process.
ОтветитьI honestly felt like the mom here was actually trying. Naming your child is a pretty important thing, picking a name and what meaning goes with it, I can completely understand trying to come up with something that is still part of the name you chose for your child.
ОтветитьMy dad does a middle name thing. When I found out his middle name wasn’t his first i literally malfunctioned. Took me so long to get used to what his first name was. It’s ok his first name didn’t really look like he would have that name. Sorry dad. But it was a good call with the middle name. I think he likes it too 😭👍 love you dad💕
Ответить"Open minded"
Do you libe alobe?
His queer bs is so unnesesery
ОтветитьI'm a trans man so I asked my mom this and the answer was Charles. Absolutely not
ОтветитьMy mom has repeatedly told me that she had actually planned to name me Austin Bailey so that way if I’d been a boy I would’ve gone by Austin and then if I was a girl, I was gonna be called Bailey but then pretty much my dad told my grandma and my grandma said that I should be in someway shape or form named after her and so that’s how I got my name and when I got to where I wasn’t really aligning with my name, I did start looking at different variations and so from Catherine I came up with Ren even though it’s like not really even that similar but honestly, I love being online and going by Wren but I’m still friends with pretty much everyone that I knew from high school and I don’t necessarily not align with going by Kate so I just keep going by Kate even though I do feel like going by Wren is way more affirming for me I guess it does still come from my actual name on my birth certificate
Ответитьalex was actually a really good one!
ОтветитьMattie
ОтветитьBetter than mine would react-
ОтветитьAlex is literally a gender neutral name tho?
ОтветитьWhen i came out to my parents as genderfluid and said i was changing my name, their reaction was 'you will always be [deadname] to us. It is disrespectful to us to call you anything other than [deadname]. You need to compromise, besides Cosmo isnt even a name'. Cosmo is a name and a valid one at that. And whats annoying, is my parents are literally lesbians.
ОтветитьI have two (although basic) gender neutral names.
1. Alex (short for Alexander or Alexis)
2. Max (short for Maxine or Maxwell)
My mom today told me I can have a middle name Max instead of changing it completely which…. Still better than nothing lol
ОтветитьMat-murder
Lovely name tbh
I love masculine names, so I'm planning on naming all my kids with those for a few reasons, one (that is really unfortunate I have to think of) is that they'll be taken more seriously in most jobs, specifically when they are being talked about. Although if I have any girls I have a lot of more feminine middle names that I would give them the option to go by if they prefer, & I have more gender neutral names than traditional ones for either boys or girls. I know it's not perfect but I'm honestly really excited
ОтветитьAru u opunminidu (iykyk hongdae guy)
ОтветитьI always forget how many accents maddy and mattie are homonyms
ОтветитьFor some reason it reminds me of my cousin.
My aunt wanted to name him Cookie. My Grandma was like No
So he got a normal name, but the entire family called him cookie.
When i first met him as an adult. Apparently he went by Taco lol
MUTTUR
ОтветитьShe seems like she is atleast trying to be supportive
ОтветитьAlex is such a cute name😊
ОтветитьWhen the mom said open minded i thought of "Are you... open mindeu?" 😭
ОтветитьSally… sally face…
ОтветитьWhen they said Im opened minded i thought of the hongdae guy😭🙏
ОтветитьBut i need a nonbinary name for a story 🙏 not Sage though it doesnt fit too well with fantasy :3 can someone help
ОтветитьOh i fell like boy but I'm girl
Ответить“Alex” is gender neutral because it’s short for both Alexander and Alexandra
ОтветитьAlex isn’t a bad choice, no? Being short for Alexis, Alexandria, and Alexander it’s really nothing short of being gender neutral
Then again I don’t really understand this stuff so maybe I’m just missing something
Umm if starts with ma maybe do Mathias or Madison
ОтветитьThe shirt has a pride flag on it 😂 I love that
ОтветитьAlex?? Alex fierro??? sigh.....
ОтветитьSeeing this on the 3 year anniversary of me changing my name :D
ОтветитьMattie would work as I have a friend who is female and called Mattie
ОтветитьThe name Lex would be good for the shortened version of alexander, and its more gender neutral
ОтветитьMattie can be a gender neutral name I’ve heard it used for many guys who identify as a male and they don’t mind it they like that it’s their name and I know girls who use the name Mattie as we so it can go both ways
ОтветитьAt least she's trying to find options. She's a little confused, but she got the spirit
ОтветитьAlex is a nice gender neutral name
ОтветитьMy mom said Vic sounded like a unit of measurement and tried to convince me to pick Echo (What she would have named me if dad didnt resist on hippie names)
ОтветитьOmg ax is my name 😄
ОтветитьI mean, we love a supportive momma 😂😅
Ответитьmy mom’s against my name change even though “emery” is so close to my legal name, emma.
Ответитьmom is freaking out but she’s still trying <3
ОтветитьI've been going by a genderneutral version of my legal first name since I was 12. It's all anyone calls me. If someone uses my legal name, no one even knows who they're talking about anymore.
So why did my mum freak out when I proposed changing it legally 😑
Yeah, this always sucks for parents. I know that because both me and my sibling changed our names. My sibling did it first and my parents were upset. Not bc of the name change as much as the fact that they had put work into choosing the name and now its gone. So for me, I actually sat my mom down, and we looked at names that both me and her liked.
ОтветитьSally isn't gender neutral? What about Sally face? He's a guy.
ОтветитьImo parents can pick whatever name they want
ОтветитьSoooo, is this Mom being “open minded?” Gimme your thoughts🙏
