No on Durant. Giannis is the question and that question is if you would trade Brunson to get him.

Kevin Durant played 62 games for the Suns last year. He scored 1,647 points. While Durant was on the court for the Suns the other team scored 1,688 points. Durant had a plus minus for the season of -41. Now he's turning 37 and he's going to cost whichever team gets him a lot of assets. Roll the dice if you dare. Another player who many times logs a negative plus minus while he's on the floor...Jalen Brunson. Yeah, team them up with each other. Lots of points. Lots of nail bitters. No closer to a title.

kd has talked about taking less money to help sustain a championship contending team on pods before. Would yall like the idea more if he took a 2 year 40 mil extension instead of 60? For me, i just dont think a team with kat at the 5 and brunson can ever win a chip. Just too much vulnerability defensively. And we cant trade for a 5 that can space the floor and defend the paint so that kat can still attack 5s on the other end, we just don't hav the assets for it.

Also, y'all talking about kd like he boutta become washed. I just dont agree with that. In my opinion, kd can sustain this level of play for at least 2 more years. He also care too much about basketball for me to ever lose confidence in him as a winning player. He don't have a family. I think kd's age 37-40 years are gonna be on par with kat age 30-33 years. And then u add on Kd fitting better on both sides of the ball at the 4 than kat and its a no brainer. I think kd the most misunderstood player in the sport. He just wants to play winning basketball. Trading kat 1-1 for kd allows us to keep depth to support him as he ages, defensively and offensively. Kd would be completely fine taking back seat in regular season for og and mikal to eat and turn up in the playoffs.

So what it comes down to for me is this, would I rather have kat play the 4 next to mitch or kd play the 4 next to mitch. And in my opinion, kd just gives us a better chance.

Kat for KD is such an L. KD is just a better Mikal. Redundant. Doesn't produce rim pressure and expecting him to hold up over an entire season at his age is a stupid bet

No Durant, we need younger players to compete with these teams like the Pacers, OKC, Orlando and Rockets. Also, get Bridges outta here and move him to Memphis in a package for Jaren Jackson JR. Hell, I’m good with Shamet at the 2 being a better fit with Brunson than Bridges. Bridges is actually a 3, but whatever. Then on the cheap get more youth on this team sign Bol Bol 25, Emoni Bates 21, Tre Mann 24 to fill out the roster with the other young guys we have.

Durant for KAT in a heartbeat. Durant is a better more versatile defender, and he's a better more versatile offensive player. The window is now. Especially if we can swindle in Walker Kessler and keep Mitch. And you can stagger Brunson and Durant in a way that makes more sense than staggering Brunson and KAT.

Sam merrill would be a good pick up. And can give you the same 3pt shooting that donte divincenzo had. The wolves not giving up donte, and knick fans need to get over it.

You guys needs to chill with the OG and Mitch trade talk. Trading OG or Mitch would be suicide defensively. Did anyone pay attention and see what kind of difference maker Mitch especially during playoffs. OG reg season and most playoff games. I’m down for making moves but KAT is the guy to move

OG is only tradable for Giannis, if we trade him for Durant I will completely lose it.

Durant had his opportunity to become a Knick in 2019. He decided to play in Brooklyn. 2019 was his opportunity. I saw where Durant wants to play for the Knicks. What was the line in Cop Land? I offered you a chance and you blew it. The Knicks had the money for Durant and to build the team around him. Then and not 6 years later. Have fun in Minnesota. Buy a warm coat.
