❤ not boring at all....thanks for taking me along, thoroughly enjoyed it 😊
Ответитьthis is one of the best videos you ever made (i told you what the other one is) i always thought it was a shame you dident make longer videos lets have more of those ...... best regards from scandinavia
Ответить'Yellow snow warning'. That made me smile. My dad warned me about yellow snow. 🤣🤣🤣
ОтветитьI appreciate the pump sack demonstration... 60cm seems optimal with the right amount of blow
ОтветитьLoving the longer video, have you tried the air mattress that grizzly Gaz used made by the paddling pool people? He said it was good n warm. .. wondering, re the oasis bottle, how do you know wether bottles big enough to not overflow?
ОтветитьHow super fun. You would be great on ASMR, your talking style would not interfere at all (I have used a lot of ASMR over time).. I love the long version, just clip some shorts to re-post for reviews, and you're all set...I am almost ready to get that 7.5R mat...thank you for review (and of the 8.8R Naturehike too, cause it was tempting til you tried it out).
ОтветитьIt’s always fun 😂 what you mean 😂
ОтветитьLoved the longer video 👍👍
ОтветитьInteresting British take on "winter". AlthoughI've seen British winter camping in raging blizzards.
Here in the mountain west (Nevada, USA) my idea of winter camping is anything from 0 C. to -30 C. so I take the proper garments including my sleep system and tent.
As the Norwegians say, "There is no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothing." BTW, a Norwegian polypropylene mesh base layer is THE warmest and driest base layer extant.
Great video mate
ОтветитьGreat video Ben, think I've seen solo Sarah camp at that spot, have you done a separate vid on the sleeping bag ? Looks good for 48 squid 👍
ОтветитьTotally agree on the Ospreys - especially with back system - if they could cross over the army Bergen with rocket side pouches would be perfect great vid
ОтветитьPerfect example buddy
ОтветитьI must admit I quite like the longer video, maybe because it's something you haven't done so often. Looks like a good tent, although a little heavy. Cheers Ben, B&S
ОтветитьLoving the longer video format, it was far from boring especially because of the excellant banter.
ОтветитьProbably not leaky tent, condensation from Fendy farts and Gaz snoring 😅
ОтветитьGreat start to the year - and I hope that you have a great 2025 for you and your family .🎉
ОтветитьWow, waited ages to see someone else use the ferrino force 2. I've had no issues with it at all on top of Kinder Scout, side of Hellvelyn etc. Bit heavier than some tents but hey ho. Made my day!.
ОтветитьHappy New Year Ben, really enjoyed the video. Would you recommend the Big Sky pegs? Was considering them as I've seen some people mention QC issues with the tops on the Easton Nano's and I understand that the Big Sky are all in one!
ОтветитьThanks! I've been eyeing the mat as this years upgrade. That, the new Durston X-Dome (waiting for kinks to be ironed out), and a quilt as my mummy sleeping bag drives me nuts as a side sleeper.
ОтветитьTop video as always mate, goes to show you don't need £10,000 worth of gear and camp on top of Everest to have a good time
ОтветитьWhat a spot. God!
ОтветитьI enjoy the longer videos. I am out next week for first camp of the year.
ОтветитьPlease tell me to took that guy line with you and left no trace, shame on those that left it behind in the first place. Love the video..subbed 👍🏻
ОтветитьΌμορφα τοπία ευχαριστώ για τις όμορφες εικόνες
ОтветитьI assume you are in England , if so , isn't wild camping illegal?
For rubbish, used to bring a drybag. No longer camp in winter as don't have the patience to lie there like a dummy for 16 hours.
It says in the comments on Tradeinn that the tent is 2.8kg. Sounds very heavy. Is that wight correct?
Ответитьi looked at a green inca 65l in M,W was 99 went back was gone an none on website tried the usual online places ended up with blue 80l instead green 65l for 25 ...
Ответитьan yes we like longer vids lol :) and the comedy skit vids
ОтветитьHi mate, great vid.
Nature hike aloft pillow has a strap to loop around mat.
I have a 5.8 lite tour, looking at the 8. Although I have a better sleep using military issue roll mat 😂😂
I make a coffee or mocha with jetboil water after wayfarer meal. Still alive so far 😂
More longer videos please :)
ОтветитьIt's not a thrill ride, I know, but I wouldn't say boring. I enjoy the little rituals, and the head space. 😁👍
ОтветитьNot sure the market needs another cloud peak 2 clone that's a lot more expensive ,heavier, smaller vestibule and only 3 season?
ОтветитьReally appreciate the truth and reality of winter camping. I need a new liner for my sleeping bag, so ill be taking a closer looking at the reactor, thanks for a great video.
ОтветитьAll the glamour, yep basically that’s wild camping, we all do it for our own reasons and make it what we want. Mostly camps for me mean I can sit and do nothing for a long time which is very different to home and work life. I love being bored 🙏🏻 thanks Ben ❄️
ОтветитьEnjoyed vid mate, looked like a nice spot 👍
ОтветитьBk watching loved the longer video..thanx
ОтветитьI enjoyed the longer format. It just felt natural.
Another vote for the Osprey Atmos AG50 or AG65. It has everything you've mentioned (not the LT version though which ditches some features for a minor weight reduction).
Also if you weren't aware, the Talon range isn't actually designed for carrying weight. The 36, 44 and 55 litre versions all have a recommended load range of 7-11kg which especially for the latter of those two is very much on the light side for a backpack. For a solid back (Airscape in the Osprey world) designed for heavier loads I think it's the Aether range.
I never heard of a yellow snow warning where I live. We know you can't eat yellow snow. It must be British politeness to warn the citizens for yellow snow. 😉😂
ОтветитьHahaha you crack me up Gaz 😂😂😂😂
ОтветитьDefinitely not boring 👍👍
ОтветитьAbout waking up in the night, have you tried sleeping with earplugs? I sleep much better now that I use mine.
ОтветитьGreat video Ben. I much prefer watching the whole experience rather than a condensed version. Looked like a nice spot. 👍
ОтветитьIt can depend on the company as to whether it's boring
ОтветитьAn excellent video, the longer format worked. I’m with you on the Wayfarer meals, they are always pretty consistent and convenient as they don’t take long to heat up. A few more recipe variations would be from them. Less condensation that I think you expected, bit thats all good. The sleep mat looked good too, so that’s now on my list of things to buy.
Happy New Beans and Sausage Year..!! 😀
Great video. I am going to try and give Wild Camping ago this year, but I'm a bit nervous on trying to stay stealthy. Defo on my to do list.
ОтветитьKnew where u was in the first 5 seconds, one of my favourite places that is! Check out the little trails off the main path in the woods, they all lead to sweet camping spots 👍 nice vid cheers 👌
ОтветитьWhy do you not put your guylines out? What clothes did you sleep in? You should always change out of your day clothes into longjohns and a clean thermal shirt to sleep in else you get cold from the moisture given off from your body during the day.
Ответитьbetter to camp when it is snowing so your are not totally wet in some mud. Personaly, I only use a tarp, an air matress and good -15°c synthetic sleeping bag
ОтветитьNice seeing you out on a longer 'start to finish' video - showing all the tricks and tips too... Tent length must have been frustrating. Pee bottle review video next?
