DynamoDB actually uses consensus based leader-follower synchronous replication. Leaderless replication was popularised in NoSQL era, but it’s not used widely in nowadays.

Hi, I have a question. I am using Kafka and apache spark right now for iot data processing and for saving that data in raw form + after some processing in transformed form in 2different
Tables. I am using postgresql timescale db. But it is giving connection lost error every once in a week causing data loss. Can you suggest which database or more than 1 database to use.
Thanks in advance
