Nice Job. Stay the course. In the 1990s there was a snowblower with tank tracks. Perhaps you could find one and use the tracks.
ОтветитьThat's cool. What I did on my electric wheelchair. It is 24 volts I took two rims split them apart. Putting in a PVC I believe it was 6in. Wheels .Long bolts back through the two halves of will 6in lawn mower tires extra wide and as I could find fill them full of spray foam so I could go across sand rough ground. I did that back in the 90s I want to say. Just an idea
ОтветитьGreat try. I’m sure you will conquer.
ОтветитьFrom someone that lives just a little north of Gulf shores Alabama your tires have too much air in them at first glance now I may see other issues along the way
ОтветитьOh yeah duels don't do good off road the PVC balloon tires that get you up on top of the sand work the best
ОтветитьNext time you're in Baldwin county give me a holler
Ответитьthat is the first attempt and a darn good one at that keep up the good work love the content and the concept
ОтветитьMore tires equals more better. Another $32 worth of HF tires should help BRUCE! Love the disco lighting!
ОтветитьMake it a half-track.
ОтветитьI emailed you a possible idea for tires maybe they might work for you. You got my wheels turning and ready to go back to the beach next year maybe.
Ответить4 wheel drive
ОтветитьI'd say if you are looking at balloon tires I'd go get some lawn mower or golf kart tubes and maybe spray them with some bedliner and run them low psi
ОтветитьI think you got it dude. Don't give up💪
ОтветитьIf you’re on a budget and I know you are you can glue those rims super glue to the tires and air them way down that’ll give you your flotation and you could make yourself a set of chains with some rope or rubber tubing to give you a paddle tires are like tread. Put the chains on both tires at once that way you get the chain going across both tires so you get a wider paddle then if you chained each tire individually .that should work pretty good or if you can get another wheelchair motor and make it four-wheel-drive that would be ideal. God bless!
ОтветитьIt's us from the beach you gave us your card we have a wagon and when we drag it it just drags sand with it
ОтветитьI think a their are tires that have treads or flippers that are like amphibious tires that would help alot if you can pickup what I am putting down
ОтветитьTank tracks lol
ОтветитьI wonder how well a wheel similar to a paddle wheel on a boat would do in the sand.
Ответитьso cool
ОтветитьHey Chris, I know I'm late but I think I got it figured out!
I had to watch the video several times, weeks apart.
I believe that you should extended your rear axel and add a third tire to each side.
Doing this should give Bruce more traction with the sand, and an even greater weight distribution.
I know you probably don't want to hear this but, a raspberry pi is the way to go..
Awesome video,
Thanks for sharing!
Sorry to see Bruce not man up on the sand, try him in a chicken house and see how he does in litter. He might be Bruce the bird remover after all.
ОтветитьTry airing down like they do 4 wheel drives in sand
ОтветитьDitch those tires and get some wide tube tires so you can deflate them and it should float or just get those expensive beach tires
ОтветитьI hope everything is ok, I noticed that I haven't seen anything from you lately and came looking to see what was up.
ОтветитьYou doing ok sir?
ОтветитьHey brother from a different mother! I had the same idea as you. I doubled up the stock wheels from a Gorilla cart and deflated the tires to only 2 or 3 psi if that. You need just enough air so that the tires do not spin on the rims when in heavy conditions. This doubles your floatation on soft sand. Keep up the great work on your cart and let us know your progress.
ОтветитьGood luck i hope you find a solution
ОтветитьThis is so cool looking! Makes me want to make plans and attempt to build my own. It’s funny how I was pulling my beach cart on the sand just last week(like the guy you filmed pulling the cooler) and now I found this video. So cool looking!! Awesome job. A thought I had is how about 4x4 with the balloon tires? My kids would love this. And with 2 kids this’d sure make it easier draggin our stuff from the condo to the beach. Now gotta make some plans!
ОтветитьDid you make it 4wd.
ОтветитьThank you for sharing your video with us. Great job and a great idea. I love Bruce!
ОтветитьI appreciate that you posted a video testing the cart and the results. Good stuff.
ОтветитьGo with balloon tires works great 4 me.
ОтветитьCould please tell me how you did the remote part of this? I'm thinking of building a tracked cart for the beach.
ОтветитьI want something like this for my beach fishing. Other than more powerful motor + bigger tires, only thing that comes to mind ... slip-induced sand cleats that come out and retract automatically as needed .... I have no idea what those even are, just a wiff between my ole ears
ОтветитьThe build explanation video of the improved version is phenomenal. Loved all the vid in your beach cart series. Thanks Chris.
