Scandalous from the starter

The third angle - from the handler’s headcam - was shown live... So, why wasn’t the Starter also given access to such a close-up; such media? There was also a gust of shouting, accompanied with the naked-eye sight of the horse being anything but settled. Both horse & rider were fortunate to come out of the stalls in one piece.

Absolutley awful. Should of been withdrawn why would the starter let his start when he can clearly see this and also hear Kirby shouting. Should be sacked

Responses for the sacking of the starter are ridiculous..He has a split second to make decisions with a full field of horses already in the gates ready to go..this is not football where you can stop the play..I say thank God that no gate handler was standing behind Harry when he kicked out..and why are gate handlers still being put at risk after leading a horse in the gates, having to duck under to exit..should be done as in the States..what was that device on the hind quarters of Harry? Never saw that being used before..It seems harry got spooked in trying to remove it...

In US they are in the gate with the horse.

These starting stalls should be banned. The way these stall handlers fuck about. A horse could be standing in the stall for over 5 minutes if it’s been put in first and there’s a big field. Every time there’s racing on telly. They say the stall handlers do such a fantastic job. They fucking do don’t they? Standing around scratching their bollocks and gossiping. The starter is always a real fucking jobsworth as well
