Difference between Rommel and Hitler on camera... Rommel didn't have to plan, stage, and create the false image of being a respectable, honorable, and a family man filled with integrity. Rommel was himself 24/7 on and off the battlefield. Very selfless. His alleged participation on the plot to kill hitler leading to his suicide by jealous, false accusations knowing he was innocent, but he committed suicide to save his family from exile, most likely execution. He opposed Nazi ideals... Not openly. He isn't stupid. But the Nazi party is relentless with jealous, murderous rage. Rommel was a remarkable man. He truly was one of the greatest Officers while still maintaining the ability to be a great father, husband, comrade, photographer and much more.

Rommel had a son name Manfred who served as mayor of Stuttgart for a long time and passed away few years ago as mayor. He was friend with England’s Montgomery’s sons and many other folks.

They say Rommel was involved in Valkyrie and the assassination of AH, he was given the option of suicide (cyanide pill) or face execution by a firing squad. He chose the latter to save his family for being related to a traitor and suffer all kinds of indignities branded his family with this burden. In addition, the family was to lose his pension that they needed to survive.

Thanks to those below for explaining this is not his home, but Goebbels' home and children. I visited Herrlingen in 1986 and was invited in by current occupants as far as the living room and entryway. It seems to be the same house exterior as shown in the 1951 James Mason "Desert Fox" film, though the IMDB credits don't specify that.
Apparently, the house post-war was used as an orphanage (don't quote me on this) and the woman who invited me in decades later said that her family was one of three families with children sharing the three-level house, one family to each floor.
The front gate was usually kept closed but she happened to be driving out as I was walking by from the village below. Next to the driveway was a small underground shelter from air attacks. I walked uphill on the road to the point where he died.
