Not true they would melt it down, and gold is gold. You could form a nugget to look crystallized. I don't believe any of this. I have a small piece in a quartz crystal cluster from Az I found as a kid.

I bought some crystal gold once- it sold for $200 an ounce and I didn’t really find it that much better than anything else.
