And GIRL... You're NOT going to apologize for buying things for the Grammys, ITS THE GRAMMY :D Girl, do whatever you need to feel your best <3 You deserve EVERY bit of it :D AND you can still keep diying stuff from your closet even tho you buy some other stuff <3 So proud of you <3
bestie you pin going parallel to what you’re stitching!!!! then you don’t have to take them out as you go plus they will keep the cabin in place and they won’t get stuck in the machine😩
Ответитьso happy you’re taking up sewing, when I started I was OBSESSED!
tips to get a straighter stitch is to line up the edge to the numbered guides on the right. For instead when hemming the skirt line it up with the 3/8 inch or 5/8 inch seam allowance guide. If the edge is following the guide then it will be straight - easier than staring at the needle. Also go a little slower and use your hands to guide the fabric at the base of the machine instead of pulling it through :)
Happy Sewing 🫶🫶
also use a zig zag or lightning stitch for your stretchy fabric so your stitches don’t pop and have room to stretch
ОтветитьWhat's the point of sewing the hem if it isn't folded under? It's the same as not sewing it at all
ОтветитьEverything about this video is SO FUN!! Love love love it!!!
ОтветитьThe diy era is back 🥹🥹🥹
Ответить“We’re not a tutorial we’re inspiration” Alisha back in the day could never 🤣
ОтветитьGirl I’m so IN. I’m trying to travel to the Bahamas this summer and need to SAVE TO THE MAX and buying and overconsumption is my biggest downfall
ОтветитьI love this video!!! I have been wanting to get into sewing and upcycling my clothes for years!
Ответитьjust a quick tip for the sewing part, if you move your hands closer together rather than holding the ends of the fabric, you will get a straighter and cleaner line! overall you did an amazing job and i loved this video❤
ОтветитьI am OBSESSED with the editing!!!! I truly love it! I am on the opposite journey. I never purchase clothing for any reason and I want to build my closet up with more clothing that makes me happy and feel good. ❤
ОтветитьI looooved this! Please continue this series 🥹 also love the graphic edits!
ОтветитьThis makes me wanna redo my closet so I can do those cause I love this idea and I need more color to my closet cause it looks awful 😭
ОтветитьALISHA!!! i am so proud of you! undoing overconsumption is sooo hard and this is such an amazing first step. i love that you are promoting upcycling to your audience and showing your audience that it is COOL!!! also, totally get the adhd “if i cant see it it doesn’t exist” hahah
