I just watched Weather Reports Montreux Jazz festival performance from 1976. It had Manolo Badrena on percussion with Alex Acuna on drums, they had an epic duo going for a bit... It was so cool to see what Manolo was like back then! I have only seen him in a couple videos. So very cool to know he played with WR and is quite amazing the more I listen to him.

Today, they are all "follower" accumulators who are more artificially enhanced than artistically gifted. Joe Zawinul, Manolo Badrena, Lyle Mays, Pat Metheny, Jack DeJohnette: WOW!
