To start 2011 is a trademarked term owned by the Staccato company, I will give you that it is a universal term like a band aid or Kleenex, but technically only a STI now Staccato are a 2011. Further what is considered a 2011 is a modular design, with that said the Rock Island Arms doesn’t fit this category. Most classify there guns as double stacked 1911s.

As others have mentioned a Glock is a Glock and a 1911 is a 1911 they have absolutely nothing in common. Much like a truck is not a car. To start the Glock is a striker fired pistol where a 1911 is a hammer fire single action pistol. Even though TTI builds both they are not the same gun as much as Smith and Wesson build revolvers and auto pistols like the M&P. This gun should not be on this list.

Last you titled this video best 2011s on the market today without a mention of top end guns such as Infinity, Phoenix Trinity, Etc, or even competitors of Staccato like Masterpiece arms, or the entry gun of the Springfield Prodigy.

You might want to reconsider having this video out, or remake this video.

2011 is built out of 3 piece modular systems, upper, frame, grip modular parts. RIA is a just double stack magazine, not a true 2011 system.

I have a Rock Island Pro Match Ultra single stack in 10mm auto. I totally tore apart and put all wilson combat parts in. Trigger i fit to the frame, sear, disconnector, and springs in. Also hated the ambi saftey and changed it to a standard saftey i two tone cerakoted it blackout and copper suede. Also put Wilson Combat starburst grip scales on too

The Athena is a great gun but the competition shooter is not shooting an Athena. He is shooting an Atlas Erebus.
