My 74 year old neighbour has just come back from 2 weeks tour of Spain with his mate both on triumph speed 400s he had tank bank top box and roll bag! He did 2400 miles and I said about the vibrations he said they get much less after a while and a couple of services my local triumphs dealer sold 80 of them last month alone??

I tried starting my own channel thinking it would give me focus but i took loads of footage and failed with editing which is a surprise as i used to be a newspaper printer and for last 25 yrs a teacher in a comp. Out for an early ride today - reverse route to you, Torquay, Teignmouth, Dawlish and those 'gulley guys' were still working and controlling traffic with stop/go boards with lines of cars. Starcross road up to the A380 from the pitch and put golf course seemed to get muddier as it went uphill through the trees. 2nd trip Just as mucky on the road from Goodstone Cross Bickington to Haytor and passing your hidden 'coffee stop' back down to Bovey Tracey there was floodwater everywhere. Got home with both bikes getting a clean just before the rain started again, looks like this weekend will be another wash-out! (wsb racing final round and football on tv?) Thanks for posting.

i love the triumphs ive got a rally pro now . the only things that bother me are the hydraulic chain tensioner rattler on start up and the gold exhaust coating coming off on the salty roads. Something to look at on a long test 👍🤘. great videos.

I totally agree with you, I popped out on Tigger and went to Whiteways, which was closed. However, I met up with some other bikers. I don't get 🎉much time off, but when I get the opportunity, I still pop put on Tigger (Triumph tiger sport 660)

Another great video. I had a BMW G310 as a loan bike for a couple of days this week, and hated it. Not a patch on the Triumph 400.

Front mudguard on the scrambler looks like it might work ok, the one on the speed looks a waste of time.

A solution that might suit a future carry issue is the SW Motech Pro base holster. It's a Molle patch that straps to your rear seat section and you can strap anything to it..👍

I loved that route. I was brought up at Dawlish Warren, until I was 15 in1970. I also well remember the road past Powderham castle and the deers. I went to school in Teignmouth.
I think last time I rode a bike in Teignmouth was 1971. By that time I had moved to London. I rode to Devon on my 1966 Suzuki 50 (M12), and my mate rode a Honda 50 Cub. I did 800 miles in a week on my 50 cc bike.
I love the looks of the both the bikes. Especially the red tank.

I have the Oxford Atlas bags for my Bonneville T100 - love them. Waterproof, easy fixing (yes I’ve cut the straps) and suit strangely suit the bike when full. Nice video - considering a 400 to add to the stable……

It would be interesting to do a comparison between these two and the Enfield Himmi 450 and Guerrilla. I will stick to my guns and say the Himmi 450 is the best of the small adventure bikles. What do you think?

Top boxes are like minivans ... all hated but no one can dispute their functionality. Nice video but these little bikes are only good for light (city) use and for beginner riders. Not particularly low to the ground, they are not perfect for shorter newbies.

Try a horseshoe bag, and a small magnetic tank bag.
Trust me, you don't need anything else.
It's liberating!
Small roads and trails are now an adventure, not a worry.

The best way to start any adventure is to 'just go'. A point that was lost on the first Mrs Boulder when I told her one Friday afternoon I was off to Scotland on the sleeper train.
"When are you going to do this?" she asked
"I'm leaving in 15 minutes" I replied.
She wasn't impressed...
But she never did have a sense of adventure.

I go for a quick couple of miles ride to Tesco but as soon as I'm on the bike I set off for a 40 mile.

I filter on my pans and my goldwing. Sometimes when pulling a trailer too if stationary traffic tho is much harder
