As far as I'm concerned, the loss of Terry Kath pretty much ended the best of Chicago. I've always been a fan. When I was in high school I wanted to go to their concert but I grew up in Montana. Rural Montana

My first 8 track in my car was CTA. I don't know why but have been watching a lot of Chicago interviews lately and loving them all. Terry Kath was a gem and catching up with him is awesome for me.

To me there is Awesome Rock Chicago with Terry leading the band. And Wimp Rock after Terry when Peter took over. Though I know Terry listened to shit like Old Days and Harry Truman and If You Leave Me Now and thought he was in Easy Listening Hell.

Never saw this before. It's awesome! I was lucky enough to see the original lineup 8 times, starting when I was 17. Best band ever.

They were named CTA and played a concert on a pier overlooking the beach in Venice Beach California in 1969. I had never heard of them but it was a free concert so what the heck. I was tripping on LSD and the comboination of Terry Kath on guitar and the horn section made for a really intense psychedelic trip. All kinds of trippy visuals were jumping out of the amps when the horns were playing. I was an instant fan.
