I live in Medellin, Colombia. McDonald's ice cream is a big deal here. The machines are never down.

Ugh, I'm so sick of evil corporations and greed. It's so deep and unethical. I wish I had stronger words. This is up there with Pepsi and taco bell/pizza hut/KFC.
The reason I watched this is bc I was literally told this morning at McDs that their machine was down.

Most other office machines have complementary servicing and repair here in Australia. You buy the machine, you expect it to work for a certain amount of years. If it doesn’t, then that’s the machine builders fault.

This is a world wide problem not just the states.
My favorite order was always a large Quarter Pounder meal with a Chocolate Shake for the drink and I have not had a McDonald's shake or sundae in years because of this scam.

Greetings, where I am from in Puerto Rico, that has never happened. Maintenance is always in order. At all McDonalds, that problem does not exist. Maybe that place does not do things the right way and does not read instructions.

Essentially the STC for the ice cream machines have long been held hostage by the Mechanicum, so the low IQ Guardsmen can never know how it works, only that it does when you do the right startup rituals.
Unfortunately, they were too lazy to learn and the Mechanicum forgot, so now they literally just pray that it works.

As of October 2024 third party technicians can now repair McDonalds ice cream machines . The restaurants now have the “ right to repair “ by bypassing digital locks that previously prevented repairs .

This is the dumbest thing ive ever heard of. The reason they are broken is because they dont own the key to get into the actual machine so somebody has to come out and unlock it. What a waste of 30 minutes.
